Brake Pads
I am in need of new brakes, and I have done some research on brake pads, but ultimately cannot decide on which ones to get. These will be for city/highway driving only, possibly some spirited driving, but no track or autox time. Also, I would like to see less brake dust (compared to OEM European pads).
Any opinions on ceramics vs semi metallics?
Currently I am leaning towards Centric Posi Quiet (ceramic or semi met) or Stoptech Street Performance (overkill for city driving?). I also know Hawks has a lot of products to offer as well.
Thanks

Just stick with Raybesto's Service Grade line pads, they'll do fine.

If you don't mind changing your rotors all the time, sure.

OEM - PAGID/TEXTAR pads. they work great, bite hard, but the drawback is the amount of dust they produce.
another alternative that I use on my own and my familys european cars...
Akebono Euro Ceramic pads. You might end up paying more, but its worth it. Very minimal brake dust, more longevity, and I feel that they perform great for normal day use, as well as spirited driving.

I'm using Hawk Racing HPS pads right now on my Type R and the bite is nice but honestly, I would stick with something closer to OEM next time. They dust a fair bit and it's a weird brown dust... Not the greatest look when it's all caked onto my white wheels...

Also check your thickness of your rotors before you change / order.. in the end the mass (which is in relations with the thickness) of the rotors affects your braking performance.
I personally like PBR Ceramic.. but honestly the variations of the brake pad material is very minimal, much less than what the ads would lead you to believe.
