iphones audio players without itunes?
is there any apps that lets you play mp3 file on the iphone without using itunes or the ipods program? (i.e. like a separate mp3 players that uses a separate file system that you can just drag and drop files from windows)

another question then
I upgraded my PC which I used to sync with my iphone previously...
Now everytime I try to add/sync any more songs on the iphone with the new PC, it makes me delete all the songs I have on my iphone...
is there anyway around it? My last PC is formatted.
There are songs/file in the iphone I want to keep but I don't have spare copy on the new PC.

Yes, there are many.
I personally have bought and used a couple and these are the ones that are still on my phones/pods/pads.
GoodPlayer for iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation) and iPad on the iTunes App Store
AnyPlayer for iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation) and iPad on the iTunes App Store
I use them for playing Flacs, MKVs & K Dramas with srt files as I'm too bloody lazy to re encode them with muxed subs.
It will work for MP3s too and likely any other format you throw at it.
You can't easily "drag and drop" files into these players but transferring is pretty simple via Wi-Fi or "USB Mode" (In iTunes, Click your device -> App tab -> Select the Player App -> Add....)
You can even arrange them into folders but its a little cumbersome as you got to do it from within the app itself. The method for each varies.
Use iExplorer to "Rip files" from your iDevice.
Select the "manually manage your music & videos" under the summary tab on your device if you don't want to use your device with only one Mac/PC.
Hope this helps.

I use google music it automatically uploads music to your player as you download to your computer but its a streaming service so it uses a lot of bandwidth...I have tons to use though. I haven't uploaded songs to my phone in over a year.

I use AVPlayer to watch movies on the ipad, and it plays music as well. You can drag and drop files into itunes, and it doesn't use the default library
The interface isn't made for a huge list of files however
