Just going to make up numbers but eg they called us once and said you bought a Feb gold 1645.0. I look at the quotes and the high is 1644.00.
I give them a half hour to update and then call back asking how the hell did that happen?
The guy's like hold on a sec let me check. While I'm on hold the high changes to 1645.0
a few years ago i put in an order for "big" SP500 futures, not the e-mini. so it had to go through a floor trader, I bought 1... then a few minutes later i sold one, made some good money.... i waited and i waited, and the order never confirmed or came back. I was lucky the market kept going my way, cuz 4 minutes later, i called them and asked about my order, and then... and only THEN did it magically come through. worked in my favor, but i was lucky. never doing another trade through the open outcry system unless im the one doing the yelling hahaha...
