"Semi" slow window startup?
I have a x201 laptop with SSD running x64 win7
The window startup is actually quite fast..from power on button to window is usually under 22 seconds
Once in window, I can immediately open files explorer and some program like google chrome and start going to all different websites
But the problem is, many other programs seem to take another 90+ seconds before it can start up...
For examples...all the office program (excel, words, outlook), the search function, and even my logitech setpoint software wont' startup until almost 2 minutes
And it is not that these programs takes 1-2 minutes to start...
Example:
1) if i start MS Outlook immediately after window boot up, it will takes 2 minutes for it to start.
2) If i start MS Outlook 1 minutes after window boot up, it will takes 1 minute for it to start
3) If i wait and start MS Outlook 2 minutes after window boot up, it takes 1 second for it to start...
*On the other hand, some programs like chrome will start immediately as soon as window is up
I've tried disabling almost all the startup program in msconfig, but I am still getting the same result.
Is there anyway I can find out what is taking so long to load during start up? and why it only affect certain programs but not others?

Give CCleaner a run. You probably have a lot of temp files that can be cleaned up.

laptop spec:
x201
i5-540m
6GB Ram
Crucial M4 128GB (I did a fresh install from scratch)
I use the laptop mostly for work and it is very clean (i.e. no junkwares, useless programs, etc) I also do disk clean up regularly...
There is however, a tons of spreadsheets and documents with a lots of data inside..(probably around 2000+ .xls files with bunch of numbers and data inside)
Would they affect the startup loading speed? (i.e. I am wondering if window do the search indexing thingy when it startup everytime...?)

i highly doubt that indexing affect startups but it definitely doesn't hurt to try. Disable Search Indexing In Windows 7
my laptop it much more outdated and i found it did exactly what yours did. it actually degraded severely over time where i would boot it up and wait 5 mins before i come back to the laptop. do you have any heavy resource programs starting up? like antivirus and what not. the more programs you have starting up, the worse it gets. but to be honest, judging from the specs, it shouldn't be too much of a problem even if you have a few programs starting up at once.
