Help , cannor display my computer on my LCD
Hi to all
I have a PC connect to a decent GTX 550Ti DVI video card and running at a th very high resolution like 2560 X 1680 on my 27" LCD monitor. I want to do some test, so I enable my motherboard bios to recognize my onboard vga card first, reboot PC, now I connect my monitor with a DVI cable to the onboard DVI slot on my motherboard, I see nothing on my screen now. I even insert my GTX 550 video card and no luck.
I even remove CMOS battery and no luck.
May I know how can I fix this problem ??
Please kindly advise ASAP.

Err, why would you hook up your screen to your onboard video output when you have your graphics card in the PCIE slot, obviously you would have nothing showing up on your monitor...
When a graphics card is in your PCIE slot, it means graphics processing is being sent to your graphics card outputted to your screen, nothing goes through your motherboard anymore, you can only use your graphics card. You cannot use your onboard video and graphics card at the same time.

Problem Solved - by shorting the clear CMOS jumper on the motherboard

the GTX 550Ti can only display the following
Maximum Digital Resolution: 2560x1600
Maximum VGA Resolution: 2048x1536
how you get a resolution that is beyond built specs is magic dude... please tell me...

Removing the CMOS battery for a period of time will do the same as shorting the CMOS jumper. Perhaps the battery was removed for too short a period.
I believe there is no 27" panel that can display 2560x 1680. 1600 is the highest vertical pixel count.
2560x1600 will require dual link DVI, which is probably not obtainable with onboard video.
