Laptop repair
Need the housing on a laptop changed. Any recommendations on where to take it? Anyone on here feel confident enough to take the project on?
Vancouver Laptop quoted me $150-180 in parts, and $85 for labour. I figure it'd be cheaper at an Asian place.
Parts are about $90 on eBay incl shipping.
Laptop is an Asus K53Z... nothing fancy.

What brand? Most places will just charge you their regular rates ($50-95/hr). Laptops are pretty easy to take apart, its usually just screws and tabs. Most notebooks have online guides how to take pieces apart.

Fair enough, what parts require replacing?

Damn, that's pretty much taking everything out and placing it into the new bezel. If that other place quoted you $85.00 for labor, just buy the parts yourself and get them to install it.
