Any Computer builders or tech guys? Need a lil help
I got a tower given to me, it did not have a harddrive installed.
it is this motherboard:
Newegg.ca - MSI P55A-G55 LGA 1156 Intel P55 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
it has a dvd burner, and a big ass video card.
msi n570gtx video card
some black edition power supply, a shit load of fans, and 8 gbs ram (2x2) x2 sticks.
I hooked up a new harddrive to sata slot 0, and it senses it in the boot up, but I cannot boot from windows CD to install new windows.
the bios does not let me change the boot order.
plus it has a 2.2tb infinity boot screen like this
http://65.244.195.67/faq/images/2.2%202.JPG
plus the bois it has alot of details about marvell bios.
I think this computer was previously setup as a raid, and now i do not know how to start from scratch and undo all that if i can.

To begin, reset the BIOS. If you can't figure out how, remove the battery for an hour.
Every BIOS allows you to change the boot order. You should be able to figure that out without help.
How big is your HD?

not sure about msi, but infinty boot just allows you to use a large drive as a boot drive.
when booting try pushing f8. should get you to the boot menu

I will try to reset the bios.
I can get into the bios, but its extremely limited, not like any other computers i have played with. no passwords or anything, just, 1 screen, no multipages of options.
and after the 2.2tb screen, it asks to pick my boot preference, it only shows the dvd drive, which the windows7 disc is in, but then says no bootable drive after i select dvd drive.
i will just reset it, and report back.
