Emission Control Valves, worth it? No?
I've been looking at Butterfly styled mufflers and stumbled upon these
APEXi - Exhaust Control Valve - Nengun Performance
Has anyone used these before? Thoughts? Not worth it all together?

Yeah they're not bad as long as it's mounted on properly. Has helped me quiet down my exhaust when I get home late at night so I don't wake up my neighbours.

Do they ever lock up or anything? Get stuck on the closed or open?
Problems?

Mine's worked fine so far, don't pull cable prior to installation, I suggest you mount it where the exhaust tucks higher.

Seems like a cleaner alternative to running a silencer in your muffler.

From what I heard, electric can have more things go wrong vs. the manual hand ones.
Don't know about Quick Time brand though
I've decided to not go that way, unless i have a dedicated track car
cops will give you plenty of problems to deal with most likely?

I would say it's worth it, picked up over 50whp just by bypassing the oem muffler. I used qtp cutout but the quality left much to be desired (this was 4-5 years ago maybe they have improved). Nice and quiet the 99% of the time and then when you want to have your dessert just open it up.
