Septoplasty (Deviated Septum Surgery)
I know there were a couple threads about this, but they were all out of date by at least 3 years. I just had this done today and I'm wondering how easy it was to sleep afterward? I tried to sleep in the Post-Op daycare area, but found it quite difficult. I don't like sleeping with my mouth open, but of course I have no choice.
Has anyone had this surgery that can give me a couple pointers on how to make sleeping more comfortable? I'm having difficulty swallowing pills, so sleeping pills are out of the question (t3s are just making me spacey, not sleepy).

maybe try melatonin via sublingual administration. i'd imagine it's more potent that way
although my otolaryngologist recommended septoplasty for me, never went through with it 'cause he was giving off senile vibes

Hm, not sure how they'd react with the tylenol 3 I'm taking (I'm getting quite a bit of pain from it, which I find odd since the Dr said I shouldn't have any). Only reason I got it done was because I've had chronic sinus infections for the last 2 years and this was a last resort.
Hoping it fixes them I'll call my specialist tomorrow and ask, I've also read sudafed can help?

i doubt any superfluous melatonin would exacerbate anything, since it's consistently being produced by your body. but, i'm no doctor so i have no right to make claims
yeah, check it up with your specialist
best of luck
