Animal cruelty to improve flavor? Is this real???
Ok so I'm pretty sure you guys have seen many pictures/videos/articles going viral around social media and everywhere on internet how Korea and China purposely torture animals much as possible to improve flavor of meat. They believe that adrenaline caused by pain and fear will make the meat taste better.
I was wondering about that, I'm no expert so I decided to do some research.
While Asian people torture animals, American hunters are trying to kill INSTANTLY to avoid adrenaline rush because it will make meat taste worse.
http://www.huntingnet.com/forum/bowh...eat-taste.html
and here's another one
Does adrenalie effect the taste of meat?
Now I know you guys are gonna say where's the scientific research to support these claims because obviously Americans and Chinese/Koreans are doing complete opposite.
Does anyone know? I'm not saying animals should be tortured if it tastes better, but I'm wondering if they actually have a valid reason to believe it.

Take what you see on facebook with a grain of salt.
This is just anecdotal but when we brought home live crabs and lobsters, my mom always said to kill them quickly. Reason being if they're stressed and tense, then their meat won't be tender.

Same goes for venison. If you kill it before they flee, the meat isn't as stringy and chewy.

Think about Kobe beef
The cow gets treated like a king
Meat does taste better if the animal is happier I'd say.
