Notebook memory help
Hello, RS
I am on a very tight budget to spend.
Just want to upgrade my Notebook Memory.
Currently it is equipped with 2 x 2GB DDR3 PC3-10600S
It can expand to 8GB max
saw a few newer model on sale
will something like 4GB PC3-10666 SODIMM (1333Mhz) fit ?
or 4GB PC3-12800 SODIMM (1600Mhz) ?
Backward compatible ?
Thanks in advance

Both will be fine. They will just scale down their native clock speed to whatever the motherboard supports.
Get whatever is cheapest as you won't notice a difference between 1333 vs 1600.

Both RAM speeds will be fine for your notebook.

You already have 2x2gb
So most likely youll have to throw those out and buy 2x4gb?
What is that you do on your laptop, makes you want to upgrade to 8GB? Most things ppl do on their laptops, even nowadays, 4gb is enough.
