Fluctuating Sound
So I have had this issue for over a year now with my PC.
I have a set of speakers hooked up to it and they work but from time to time they will go from a normal volume to excessively loud.
If I plug in headphones its fine, never fluctuates.
I have googled this numerous times. Some said it could be a mic feature that was on, but i went and turned it off. I don't know what else to do.
Any suggestions?

haha strange i have the opposite issue. if it matters, i use the onboard sound and do not have a sound card. it fluctuates from normal to really low volume. again, using the headset, it is fine and doesn't fluctuate at all.

Could be the cable or jack connecting the speakers to the computer. Play some music and wiggle it around and see what happens.

I have tried a different cable and it seems to make no difference. I have tried 3 so far hoping that it was something that simple.
