Swiffer Products?
Hey guys, just wondering what your thoughts are on Swiffer products or any other products you may use relevant..
I have hardwood flooring in my entire home and I've been using traditional sweeper + dust pan, and rag mop.. However I browsed at Canadian Tire casually today and it never came to my mind that maybe these are more simple to use and more effective *because im also lazy*
I found two products, I think I would probably need a " mop " to maintain any dirt or dust and a vaccum/sweeper for daily dust collected..
Wondering if anyone uses these products listed below or a different brand/ similar functionality?

I also have hardwood floors and use the one in your first link
Works great for lazy people like us
The cleaner liquid for the swiffer also lasts a pretty long time as well.

On my laminate, I use a microfiber mop and a concentrated cleaner (diluted 20:1, in an old Windex spray bottle). I have 2 kids and 2 dogs.
The mop was an old housewarming gift but if given the choice, I'd still buy one over the Swiffer cleaners. No batteries, no special refills and the mop head is machine washable.

Wow, thanks for the heads-up, I will most likely purchase this for a mop.. However I watched some youtube videos on the vaccum+ sweeper, it wasn't the best product.
Still need to find a good product for general sweeping +

Do you have laminate or true hardwood floors?
In any case, the Swiffer is not the most effective on laminate/hardwood floors. It will attract more dust, thus requiring frequent use and increasing cost.
Like fliptuner, a microfibre mop and cleaner if your choice is still a better bet. If you really want to be lazy, you could opt for something like a Bissell Symphony and still come out on top of the Swiffer.

I have hardwood floors in my home, at first I loved the idea of Swiffer but I changed to microfibre simply because of overall costs. For Swiffer, you're constantly buying refill after refill and they aren't cheap, a machine washable microfibre is truly the best way.

Get a Shark steam cleaner or something similar. Pads are washable, and you only use water. No chemicals on the floor (nice if you have pets/kids). Steam kills the bacteria as well.
The whole main floor of my house is exotic hard wood so keeping it nice is important and did not want to risk any harsh cleaner on it.

Bought this one, loving it so far. No need to constantly buy refills and if you run out of cleaning liquid then water works too!
Frank Spray Mop | Canadian Tire
Just need to make sure to buy a few more microfibre pads because they get dirty pretty quickly!

Microfibre for dust/dirt and Murphy's Oil Soap with a sponge mop is our combo.
You should not use a lot of water - in fact, the less water, the better. Even if it's engineered wood, it's still wood and will absorb water.
