Western/Central Canada Road Trip Suggestions

So I've teamed up with Honda Canada to do a road trip across the first four provinces (BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba) over the span of two weeks, starting just before the Canada long weekend. My partner in crime and I already have a short list of places to visit, but we're hoping to get some opinions on other destinations. We're looking for two different types ideally. The first should be good photo op locations for a vehicle (as I'll be doing press shots for the vehicle Honda is lending me), and the other should be either good hiking trails or interesting pit stops. Oh, and any good lakes that rent power boats or jet skis?

So far our list consists of the following:

Barkerville (who doesn't want to go mining for gold?)
Jasper (Glass Skywalk, Athabasca Falls, Miette Hot Springs)
Drumheller (because dinosaurs)
Moose Jaw (Al Capone's smuggling tunnels)

However, that wont take up two weeks worth of traveling. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

If it matters, I'll be in an SUV and plan on taking it down some FSR's, so if you have a suggestion that's not reachable by paved roads, that's not a problem (...hopefully.)

Go to Hyder, AK - the Point Roberts of Alaska. Up near Terrace! Go see some grizzly bears, it's reachable by FSR and quite a scenic drive.

Also, Prince Rupert is gorgeous, definitely worth a visit. BC has so much to offer.

P.S. if you come to Northern BC give me a shout! Lots of great outdoor activities in Northern BC, including mountain biking/waterskiing etc.

Where are you starting? If it's from Vancouver, heading north through pemby, and lillioet on the way to jasper is just stunning.

Where are you headed in MB? My recommendation is to go south after Medicine Hat, and take the route through the US. It should be a lot more interesting than driving through the Canadian prairies.

Lol that kind of negates the point of what clearly is a "western Canada" road trip.

Yeah, the intention is to do a Canadian drive. Have no problem with popping across the border for a day trip to North Dakota or Montana, but no more than that.

SIR would be cool to check out. Maybe I can get an official 1/4 mile time for my press car

Belka, might have to do that, though that's right at the tail end of my trip. Any chance for a photo op with some jets?

I recommend highway 93 down south.. perhaps to big sky / yellowstone.. just don't pack a bison on your way. then do the badlands and go back up North.

The drive from Jasper to Banff or the other way round is one of the prettiest anywhere in the world I'd argue. But since driving around western Canada is my job, not gonna lie, anything east of Calgary and Edmonton is pretty lacklustre minus Drumheller. Just so much flat straight driving for very little gain in each destination. Northern BC and the Rockies are by far the best for photos and driving roads
