Fixing broken connection inside a camera
When I was replacing my broken screen on my Sony Nex5R, I accidentally pulled and snapped an orange connection. Just wondering if anyone knows how I could fix this, or would I need a new part?

That ribbon cable? Technically you might be able to fix it, but it's gonna be extremely hard.

Its near impossible to fix ribbon cables, its not worth the time or effort, get a new cable and you should be good.

1. buy usb microscope.
2. tear away the orange plastic layer to reveal conductors.
3. secure the two pieces so it sits as if it wasnt torn.
4. solder together using a pin
