Revscene Reviews: 2017 Acura MDX
Hey guys, so I changed things up just a bit as the previous reviews had a lot of writing and most people can't be bothered to read that much anyways.
Let me know what you think!

How was the adaptive cruise control? Did you get an opportunity to use it?
Reading online I hear it can be very abrupt and jerky, sometimes braking with too much force or too quickly.

Nice, lots of pics with just a couple of lines of texts to highlight the features. Very readable! Good photography.

Great question, I did get a chance to use it. I feel that it needs some refinement for sure. A lot of times it was late in detecting when cars merge in front thus applying brake with a greater force than one would suspect. And when the lane clears up it speeds up as if it needed to catch up right away.

Interesting...do you think this is something that could be fixed with a software update? Any way of modifying the sensitivity?

I honestly don't think so. There's a lot of systems that's used to update all of it would require a recalibration of a lot of equipment. But who knows. Maybe something will turn up.

Gotta agree with you. The touchscreen is slow.

what is it with honda/acura and it's touchscreen etc. tech... it always seems like it's at least one generation out of date.

Currently have the 2017 CRV and it's a big improvement. Gotta remember the MDX came out in 2014 so the tech would of been from 2013. It's basally the same as looking at an iPhone 5 or Samsung Galaxy S4

will you be reviewing the CRV? my dad had it on top of his list but couldn't wait for it to come out and ended up getting a 2016 RAV4 instead a year ago so i'm curious...
