Tire Storage options (in garage)
new house, so need new options.
in the old house I went with the hooks on the wall but not interested in going that direction with the new place. tires to be stored are 18" 235/60 with wheels mounted.
Here is my old storage system: $14.99 per hook x 4.
the new ones I'm considering: (anyone got one of these)

Pros: Light, and doesn't take much space
Cons:Kinda flimsy feeling and doesn't take wide tires well

do this. you have enough ceiling height to clear from what little i can see in your pics. only go DIY if you know what you're doing. i can't find the thread i saw in another message board but someone did one similar to the one you posted above and the chain broke... i don't have to describe how much damage a set of 4 wheels/tires can do falling from 6-7ft on to the hood of car

went this route.... seems to work well although yah, as above noted - a bit flimsy
$29.99 at cdn tire.
the tires are pretty much floating...they are not making contact with anything at all..even at the bottom. tire/wheels: 235/60/18
