Looking for help!
Hi Guys! 
I'm looking for a little help.. I recently tried changing my break pads myself on my 89 Volvo and unfortunately one of my caliper bolts broke in the process. I now need help with finding a mechanic so that I can get some help getting that bolt out and finishing the job. I've ordered new bolts and have new brake pads. Does anyone know of a mechanic that would be interested in a trade of some help for a couple flats of beer or bottles of gin? Was trying to avoid going to a shop and wanted to do this job myself, but now I need certain tools and a lift that I don't have.

Have you considered buying a screw extractor set and pulling the broken caliper bolt yourself? You can get the tools anywhere for about $25. Spray the bolt with penetrating oil and let it soak for a good long while before you try and extract it. Cover your rotors and/or clean them with brake cleaner after using penetrating oil on that caliper bolt. Jobs on old cars don't always go according to plan, you can finish the job and you have a good excuse to add to the tool chest. If you're going to be wrenching on a 28 year old car, this won't be the last time you need a bolt extractor......

Good advice. Each time you find yourself needing a tool, take the opportunity to pick one up. You only will need to buy it once, but having it around will prove useful one day again.
