I purchased A Link Between two worlds over the weekend and I beat the game without the red mail. I highly recommend this to people who've not played the SNES prequel for the game. The mechanics of the game is great and puzzle solving has always been interesting in Zelda games.
For those who have played the SNES prequel, this one just feels like what the SNES one should have been, only in 3D. It felt exceedingly short mostly because there wasn't really any new places to discover, it's just a matter of how to get there in a different way (Magic mirror in the SNES prequel vs cracks that sends link between Hyrule and Lorule on the 3DS). I still recommend it, but only if for nostalgia sake.
Oh and having all the essential tools from the getgo is nice, almost all dungeons can be tackled in any order except 1 or 2.
Anyone pick up Fantasy Life? Been playing with my girlfriend...its pretty damn fun and addicting. Kind of like Animal Crossing but with an RPG element where you fight stuff.
finally manage to get the new 3ds.. traded in my 3ds xl and launch gen vita which has been collecting dust for over a year now at eb games..
the data transfer is hilariously tedious for trade ins.. eb games basically makes u purchase and pay it in whole.. take it home.. put ur old 3ds and new side by side, connect wifi to enable transfer and depending on how many games u may have purchase on eshop, it could lengthen the time it takes to complete..
i suggest delete ur games and just let the nintendo ID transfer and re download the games on ur activity history.... then u bring it back to the store to complete the trade in
i never got a chance to play majoras mask on n64 and playing it now.. i dont know.. its mixbag.. feels like im just dragging myself to play and finish the game
star fox and mario kart is playable in 3d now with the head tracker
Finally got mine today. Going to wait a couple days until I get my microsd card before actually using it. Going to do the system transfer once I have a 32GB inside.
Wasn't able to do a trade in here since it was past the promotion time
Gahhhhh and my 3DS is defective.... blown out speaker. The hunt is on again fuck.
careful unscrewing and taking off the back panel.. the screw doesnt come off, it makes a clicking sound to let you know its off.. alot of ppl on reddit end up shaving off the screw head like minutes after taking it out of the box
you also gonna use the stylus to pry out the panel, which itself is a bitch to do, i end up having a small ding because i couldnt get it off properly..
btw did you know the web browser can play 3d videos from youtube?
I bought the first-gen 3DS and hacked it to run Gateway.
Replaying OOT at the moment.
LoZ A Link Between Worlds was probably one of the best 2D Zelda games I've played. Fire Emblem Awakening too, sunk over 50 hours into it this summer and had never played a FE game before
If you don't care about waiting you could get it from modchipcentral too. Mine was 83.90 CAD shipped for the chip, usb micro sd card reader, and ds cable. Make sure to select the "Visa for Canadians" so they charge you CAD and not USD.
Hopefully they'll be getting stock soon, since their ETA is 31st of March.
