We bought the Novaform memory foam mattress from Costco 10 years ago. I like it so much, I bought the Novaform toppers to go on my cots while out camping. At first, I didn't like how much body heat they retain but now I really appreciate it.

If you're open to shopping online and like memory foam style mattresses there are tonnes of options with great return policies with prices that are better than what you can get at Sleep Country.

Casper, Endy, Leesa, etc.

Tempted to buy one from Costco online. The only issue is not being able to try it on beforehand. I know Costco is pretty good with return but could still be a hassle to bring it there. I suppose I could try similar mattresses at other shops before ordering one online at Costco.

I have a Costco $6-700 deal. I really like it, but with two people on the bed we actually both get a sore back. I mean, maybe thats my beds issue (No box spring, low lying bed) but it can't seem to support our weight. (I'm 190, she's 125). Anyhow, at least at Costco you can always return it.

Got mine from the Brick actually.
Was about $1000 delivered with a box spring. I don't think I will go back to the brick again, poor sales tactics, sold me a full box spring (rather have the 1/2 size one) and really didn't help me at all. Forced me to sign up for their cc to get the deal and paying it off was a hassle.

Sears next time I suppose?

Ikea, im not too picky.
Cheap, hassle free return/exchange and 10 years warranty.
If i want brand name mattress, i would seriously consider costco.
Sleep country or Bricks are all fine if prices are right, but forget about exchange if it doesnt fit you. Just google what people say about their experinces trying to exchange..lol

Bought mine from Sea Horse which is a Chinese brand that's been around for as long as I can remember. Have their top of the line diamond mattress about 8 years ago and it's still going strong. Anyone who's Chinese will know the brand. I don't know ow how it compares in reality to sleep country etc etc but I've been using their pillows and mattresses for over 20 years with no issues

Bought a king size mattress from sleep country. It said regular $3200 on for $1600 for Boxing Day. They held it for 3 months while my place was finishing up. No issues.

Thats average. Mattresses always have a huge regular price sticker.

I wouldn't buy a mattress for myself from an auction/liquidator unless you know it's a model you want.

For a spare/guest bed, sure, but for a mattress I'm sleeping on every night I'll pay the premium for one I want.

Drive around and you're bound to find one on the streets or in an alley somewhere ... j/k.

Went with good old Sleep Country. Can't beat their price. They were pretty good with their warranty. Bought a set, had it replaced under warranty due to indentation (within 10 years). Then the replacement one developed an indentation at about year 7, got that replaced and tried a similar priced, foam one. So, as long as I keep on finding indentations within 10 years warranty, I shouldn't have to worry about buying a mattress for the rest of my life.

Surprised more people aren't suggesting the online foam mattresses like Casper, Endy, Novo-something something, etc. There are tonnes of them and they all run around $1k for a Queen/King. By most accounts they are nearly as nice as Tempur-pedics for a lot less money. The return policies are really generous as well.

Only thing stopping me is that I'm a very warm sleeper and these mattresses tend to hold a bit too much heat for me.

-bought my Sealy Postur-pedic mattress from Sears in Brentwood mall.

-on a side note, you might see some dudes transporting their mattress in really creative ways in the Lower Mainland.

This is a picture of the kind of mattress delivery that I saw in Richmond a few years ago by a few customers. #savethdeliveryfee

Welp, looks like Sleep Country got the best deal so far.. 800 pocket coil queen simmons bed with gel/foam for $450 tax in + delivery included. Retail would be around $740 with tax.

I bought my Endy mattress last year. I think my body needed a couple weeks to adjust to it. Id rate it 6.5-7 on the firmness scale. I previously had another foam mattress that was a bit softer. 100 night sleep guarantee is nice if you find it aint for you.

Good reviews here http://sleepopolis.com/
