oh...and I didn't get the VW thanks to the lying seller...I mean for 800 bones I"m not expecting a PERFECT CAR...however, I was expecting him to be honest. Apparently that's too much to ask...so I spent my sunday and 70 bucks (on gas/toll) being pissed off that some jackass lied to me about the car....great fun...but we had a wicked drive w/ a buddy of mine, at least...the snow was fawking trippy haha

pulled out of my parking spot at work, turn my signal on to exit parking lot. flashing red and blue lights in my mirror, so i turn signal off and stop. yeehaw a fucking nice 109$ ticket for no front plate. didnt even make it out of the parking lot ! and car was going off the road tomorrow. fucking jesus christ. what luck. fuck. fucking guy mustve been waiting there until i got to my car or something. fuck. fuck fuck fuck. :(

1990 Chevy Beretta GTZ...2.3L 4 banger Quad4. dual overhead cam, 16 valve, 5 speed, 180hp stock, 16s, nice kit, stock...needs a steering rack or power steering pump...still works just sketchy at full lock (probably psp), windshield cracked, few small things...BUT...hauls ass, shifts hard, clutch great....probably EPA: 22/31mpg

1989 Mazda 323...1.6L manual, will need clutch w/in few months...haven't looked at it yet....EPA: 28/33

HOWEVER...I barely drive around town...the amount I drive, I could afford a V8....it's mostly the to/from Island trips and Vernon/Kelowna that matter....I know that if I was SENSIBLE I should hit the 323...but I have a feeling the GTZ would be much more fun ;)

dispute it... for taking the time to show your face in court it is guaranteed to be reduced if not thrown out, and say it fell off or someone stole it. and you did'nt bother replacing it because the insurance was up the next day...

theres bbeen hardly any chatting in the last page of the pics thread. the few comments that are in there are directly related to the picture which is fine.

its when you get comments on the comments on the comments on the picture that it gets out of hand. or straight up off topic

minimum chatting is ok, if its directly in response to a picture someone posted, thats what its for, its when people start respeoniding to respeonses is when it becommes chatting

how do you draw the line between just enough chatting or way too much? there is no good way of moderating that. So if some people directly reply to the pictures that are in there, everyone will tend to do that and it will once again get out of hand. It should be open season or none at all

why? is relevant discussion of the picture not good? should the thread be full of pictures with no comments?

the point is to get rid of the inane chatter that goes on.

and you want to know a good way of moderating that? how about this. if me, geoff, spoo or big daddy think theres too much chatting, then theres too much chatting. dont like that reasoning? tough.

If u need to chat/reply to responses about pix in the picture thread why doesn't everyone just do what 2.5 is doing, and reply to conversations in here. This is the random chat and everything goes in here. If wouldn't polute the picture thread and everyone could talk as much as they want about certain pix.
