lowside67 07-04-2006 09:56 AM

^ wow sweet, what focal length?

Bonjour43MA 07-04-2006 03:23 PM

nice shot dennis! so you managed to borrow a zoom lens eh.

do you have some shots with slower shutterspeeds with blurred wheels? Those might look cool as they show motion and a sense of speed.

lol for some reason I keep looking at the front air intake of the bike and the more I look at it the more it looks like a smiley face to me. I must be mad.

dub.dub 07-04-2006 03:37 PM

^ thanks... now I see it too :\...

Mananetwork 07-04-2006 03:42 PM

Nice composition Dennis.. I'm going to try shooting from that position next time I attend a autox event

[azn angel] 07-04-2006 03:56 PM

200mm
f4.5
1/800

i didn't shoot any shots at slower shutter because of where i was standing i wouldnt have got a decent shot of a guy in profile to see the wheels spinning. i'll upload some more later.

Bonjour43MA 07-04-2006 04:19 PM

Can I go with you guys next time? Haven't shot bikes before so it should be fun!

[azn angel] 07-04-2006 04:24 PM

not a lot of space on the track for photographers to be roaming around. but im sure with a bit of education you can get out there next race.

other than the swirl marks (also lazy to try to fix it in ps), it's an
ok shot. both 91's, give them a break :)

first one is good. but like i've said before, i always find that semi-transparent effect on the hood really takes away from the professionalism.

second shot is yuck.i cant really comprehend how it came from your camera. all that flare is really distracting, the way the cars are placed isnt very dynamic, colors are all bland. so this shot gets a whopping 4/10.

sorry man, truth hurts sometimes. but you know i still love ya.

OH, you owe me some film. but a telephone number of you know who will suffice ;)

I see a meet is comming up soon... its a shame im on vacation but theres always a chance. Hopefully ill meet all of u someday :)

#1 doesn't do it for me as the colors are washed out and nothing is really focused

#2 would look better if the moon was to the right rather than the center and the edges of the car (near the windshield) seems too soft

#3 would look nice without that yellow pillar in the middle

If you can get another chance put the car between the 2 yellow pillars. It would work much nicer. Nice shot btw!

dub.dub 07-07-2006 10:27 AM

^ yea what he said. :p that would look nice and framed as well

Mananetwork 07-07-2006 10:29 AM

I don't think there's enough detail in your shadows. Without the detail in the car, it's simply a distraction from the artistic qualities of the rest of the image (well, for the second one, anyways).

dub.dub 07-08-2006 12:55 AM

2nd pic: my attention goes towards the paintings rather than the car

where was this place btw?
