Man Tom, I wish I could have gone :( Fuck I hate being sick ><

Would have been a great opportunity to work on pans, which by the way I think you nailed. Were they all shot at 24mm 1/50? The last two appear to be more telephoto.

Mananetwork 06-11-2006 11:04 AM

the second and last where shot at ~150mm at 1/50th of a second

dub.dub 06-11-2006 02:35 PM

where was this at?
what aperature were they shot at?

dub.dub 06-11-2006 04:58 PM

i feel that the background overpowers the subject (assuming it is the car)

travisa86 06-11-2006 05:07 PM

itsallaboutgz. was that taken in abbotsford ? Looks like the next to the townhouse complex my cousin used to live in?

BTW I like the shot but i agree with dub.dub on how the background is a bit overpowering when the subject we are assuming is the car... I also feel that the image would probably look better in B&W, just a thought?

Ducdesmo 06-11-2006 05:20 PM

^ this was taken in Delta actually. Ya i guess the landscape is bit too emphasised. Maybe better if the car is in color? I''ll give that a try.

He was at mission raceway for those, the Rivers Edge road course

Jomo, don't be too upset about missing it, Tom was a little frisky around the cars, it got kinda awkward ;)

look at how he cradles that lens.... seems second nature to him, eh? ;)

Jomo 06-11-2006 07:03 PM

Hahahaha awesome

Mananetwork 06-11-2006 07:04 PM

I think Jomo's 300 would of fit better in my hand.. the 70-200 just didn't set well

Jomo 06-11-2006 07:05 PM

Tom, you're a cool guy, but please don't ever visualize yourself cradling my lens.

dub.dub 06-11-2006 07:58 PM

he is treating the lens like it is some sort of extension of himself :p

Domani 06-11-2006 08:40 PM

ok no one is ever gona look through his viewfinder lol.

Exactly. Was gonna shoot it in the middle of the street..but i was by myself..so i decided not to.

Domani 06-11-2006 09:41 PM

i actually like it i think it's a good composition, try to make the
subject bigger in the frame

and i don't like the green tone, but the effect is definatly cool.

Mananetwork 06-13-2006 10:34 PM

GranTurInj 06-14-2006 08:12 AM
