quick one of me...(obviously I didn't take it )...I wish I had some friends w/ better photography skills...ended up having to put my camera on the 2.2shots/second mode and tell him to just hold it down and hope there'd be a decent shot haha  | |

haha yeah man...I love it...but I can't keep up w/ guys on dual suspension bikes  (that guy there had 8/8 grrrr) Quick specs on my oldskool rizzle:
1996 Univega Alpina507 triple butted Reynolds 969 cro-mo frame
2000 Marzocchi Bomber Z4 Oil Bath shocks
RaceFace Turbine LP forged cranks
RaceFace handlebar (I know..I really want a riser...I just found my RF for 10 bucks haha)
Syncros stem (how's THAT for oldskool..it's the original run too..made in BC baby )
XTR V-brakes
LX levers
LX front/rear derailleurs
LX rear hub, STX-RC front hubs, RhinoLite front/rear rims
Envy chainring (middle, the rest are Shimano)
Panaracer tires (wicked rubber when new, but mine have 10 000+ kms on them...it was my commuter bike for a while haha).
PS: the only thing original is the frame...I did everything else on it | |

im FOR SURE getting back into riding next year. tried this year but couldnt find a bike i liked for a price i liked.
and ill be the guy on the hard tail with the 5" fork and riser bars keeping up to FS bikes......... if i can get back into it like i was before i stopped that is.

i did'nt ride nearly enough this year. my fork needs a rebuild badly. but i must say.... that does look like fun, and it makes me qwant to go ride right NOW...

yeah...it was a blast...I definitely need a few things:
1: more suspension (80mm ain't doin' it anymore)
2: more brakes (XTR Vs are fine...but discs are what I need)
3: more guts (I gotta get my confidence levels back up )
maybe next season we should have an RS bike get-together  | |
