A couple of my friends hold a big Christmas dinner, and invite a a bunch of people. Most of us have known each other for 20+ years. The tradition started 5 or 6 years ago with nice Korean bbqs and sushi. As time went on, the numbers went up due to marriages and kids. Since last year, the venue has shifted to Uncle Willy's. Not the best quality food, but the kids love it, and the adults get to catch up on the last year. We're looking forward to the one coming up!

I too have a group of friends who have known each other for ~20 years and each year I host a Boxing Day Brunch. Each person/family donates a pack of bacon, sausage, eggs etc and I fire it all up. Oh, plenty of mimosas and baileys & coffee around as well.
After we eat the boys play poker. Normally the World Junior Championships is on TV. Good times ahead!

^ Most charge for green onions, parsley, special sauces besides the standard satay/soy sauce/peanut sauce(some places).

Some people hate green onions/cilantro. Might as well keep the cost as low as they can to appeal to the general public. AYCE hotpot is way overpriced as it is. Usually a minimum of $25 per person already.
