i had the intro's removed some other way before because i couldn't stand them adding so much to the already long load times. oh and this little find also lets you load straight into the game without having to login in!

Yea, but I find that it works sometimes, while not others. I guess it depends on server load? Not as reliable as TS or something.

^ not sure if it always works or not but i did notice that one of the ase filters was voip enabled or disabled. would that be why? or is it something different?

i didn't really feel comfortable w/ the mic before but now i'm okay with it and it adds so much more to the game :buttrock:

I always have VOIP checked.

Another thing, I find that the mic volume is kinda low, even though all my volumes are turned up (including rec. volume).

anyone have xfire? i want to play with some people i know instead of just pubbing and being in random squads

My list of favorite servers is too long to list.

I basically filter:
2 rounds
ranked
VOIP Enabled
ping < 100ms
friendly fire ON
Allow Global unlock (<-- though it doesn't seem to work. I don't know what this means actually. Does it mean we can use our unlocked weapons? or does it mean we can use them regardless?)

Question: What would be good specs (CPU, ram, and video card) for playing this game on 1024x768, no AA, no AF, on medium-high settings with a decent framerate. Don't want to spend too much as I don't play games that often.

i ahve a 3.0p4 512 ram and a 6600 gt i play on med-high settings at 1024x768 with 50-60 fps

damn, I just got 7800GTX but I can't play at all max cuz of the ram
I need 2GB of rams to run at 1600x /w all high
at that resolution, BF2 will eat up more than 900mb of ram, so 1GB just wont do it... more money into my computer :(

you serious? i have a 2.8ghz and 1gig ram with the same vid card. i havent installed the game yet, but ill want to run it in 1610x1050 though, thats gonna suck. probably not even playable in that res.

i've got a xp-m at 3200+ speeds with a gig of corsair dual channel ram on a 9800 pro. running at a humble 800x600 res, all med settings, no aa af, and it runs fairly smooth on a server < 150 ping. not sure what my fps is at i'll post up later.

This game is pretty hardware intensive if you want to run at high res or settings. Even when you run the game at "crappy" settings it doesn't look that bad.

anyone know how to get basic transport badge?
just drive around transport vehicle(jeep?) for 10min?

yeah just keep driving around on a hummer or something. i think mounting the gun also counts.

not sure on the repair points, but if you're aimming for the repair badge, a cheap way of doing it is driving a hummer into shallow water so it keeps on loosing health, then jump into the 3rd or 4th position and keep wrenching

also if you want the pistol badge, it's not as hard to get on a map like karkand
