I'm pretty good at flying the helicopters.I drop off/pick up troops, sometimes even help capture flags by hovering over them, if no SAMs are in sight ;)

But not flying while accessing the commending menu (where you activate satelite/UAV scan, artilitary) right?

SkinnyPupp 06-21-2005 09:37 PM

I keep the command menu close to my movement keys (I use "V" for command an "C" for regular communication)

So I just point the nose where I want, and do air drops, UAV, etc. Then pull back, because pointing to the ground means you are accelerating ;)

4G63 BT 06-21-2005 09:55 PM

Oh, yeah, the new choppers in BF2 are much easier to fly and hover around slowly.

But I wonder if human can do that while in a jet.....

Ahh... never thought of that.

I tried to keep the menu open while I make quick orders. I always end up crashing into a tree or something right after I close the menu. :lol

It's easy fighting and being the commander when your squadleaders tell you where to place everything and you just have to press "Page Up" :)

4G63 BT 06-22-2005 01:41 AM

IC﹐ so a commander doesn't have to locate where the squad leader on the map before you drop the artilitary or supply or UAV?

Anyone running it with a 9800 pro? What settings and resolution are you running

I have a 9600 np and running it at low settings. I might go pick up a sapphire 9800 pro for $176 at ncix. I know the 6600 is newer and better but from what I read the difference isn't that big.

I bought a DVD Copy and didn't preorder. One thing is though I can't find a CDKey anywhere in the box, not on the CD and not under it. I sure hope it's somehow included on the disk otherwise I'm going to have to try and exchange my copy and explain how I didn't get a serial.

Mine telling me which branch you got it from? I wanna go grab one after work... and hopefully there'll still be some left.

Isn't the Sapphire one only 128-Bit?

I have the ATI 9800 Pro (256-Bit) and I run on mostly medium and low details. (I have an old CPU and MoBo.) I get decent fps in the demo. AA/AF off. My CPU, Mobo, and RAM (512MB) are slowing me down.

[RSX-S] 06-22-2005 02:32 PM

Oh, and I'm using 1024 x resolution.

My server is now running the retail game, 64 players. It's new, so nobody plays on it yet.

Allright I'm blind as a bat, serial is on the back of the instructions.

damn computer is too slow to run this game!

Ch28 06-22-2005 03:38 PM

Heh good job quasi. I was in the same situation as you. The installer said bottom left corner of the DVD box and later I found it in the damn manual.

Just picked up my pre-order copy at FS and the price is $59.99 right now. The guy just told me to go in tomorrow and they'll refund me back the difference

rb 06-22-2005 05:59 PM
