like when i try to find a server to play on, it takes a while to load after i click on something

I have my settings on high and the game play lag..maybe i havn't noticed it..(these were on 40 ppl servers)

I went up a resolution and put everything up from low to med (with exception to lighting and shadows) and I have better framerates now. Apparently the game doesnt save settings properly so you end up running a hybrid of old and new settings.

KILLER! Now I don't feel that bad blowing my money on a 6600 because I get some decent performance now.

My difference was probably more drastic because I tried this game with a few graphic cards so I probably had a real mess of saved settings.

i got to lance corp. now, i unlocked the medic weapon since with i play with my friends/squads im usually the medic.

Its allot better imo then the other guns, it has a scope so you can snipe with it. Its very un-accurate if u hold down the tripper, i put it on single shot when i use it, and i seem to do allot better with it then the basic gun.

My next unlock is probably going to be the eng. or maybe support.

Anyone know if an ATI 9600XT would be enough for BF2?

I'm guessing med quality settings.

I'm running it at the 1024 resolution with medium settings on everything except shadow and lighting and it's pretty smooth. Before it was really choppy and laggy at times but after I upgraded my ram from 512mb to 1.25gb it really really helped

Im running a XP 3200, 1 gig ram, and 9600 xt.
Its playable.
But annoying, cause you know this game is screaming for an X800 ATI card, or an x850, or a 7800 Nvidia. :o)

9600 turbo 128mb

and the game runs fine, im using the def. settings

I do have to say.
This game beats BF1942 and Desert Combat.

Im really enjoying this game. The map designs are pretty crazy. Lots of intense action.

I have a amd3200 + 1gb ram(the system i bought off of a rs guy for $400) + a geforce 6800 GT OC (bought it from another RS member for $320).. and i have everything cranked up..

the graphics is absolutely amazing.. but i get lag spikes cuz shaw is screwed up.. grr..

I think everybody is getting lag spikes. Especially in the ranked servers.

Some Ranked servers, like those artofwar ones get lag spikes. The other ones, for the most part, are lag free for me.

So what rank/medals/awards have you guys got so far? I'm at Lance Corporal and just unlocked the L-85 Medic weapon. I have 2 Gold Stars, 5 Bronze Stars, a Silver Star, Purple Heart, Basic First Aid, Basic Medic Combat, Basic Helicopter, Meritorious Unit Ribbon, and an Infantry Officer Ribbon.
