Little late but here’s what I thought. Went with my wife and two other friends. We spent most time together, but met up with the other two guys for dinner most nights. I called this our food-cation haha. Cheat week of how I regularity eat. Also had a badly torn hamstring when we went , so limped the strip in 36° C heat. Couldn’t have done it without a bunch of extra strength pills lol

Favourite places we ate
1. Hell’s Kitchen- glad we made a reso (week in advance and best seating was at 9:40, not that it mattered much, since we were in Vegas doing things after all)
Lobster risotto, a must! I had his beef Wellington with fois, damn!!! My wife had the braised short rib, tasty but the Wellington was perfect! Had the sticky toffee pudding for dessert, did not disappoint!

2. Spago- Wolfgang Puck
Tuna tartare was amazing! We shared the artisanal salumi pizza and fettuccine with field mushrooms. Blown away with both dishes!!

3.Vic and Anthony’s steakhouse in the golden nugget casino
Old school steak house, very dim setting.
Raw oysters to start, good but not anything special.
I had the wagyu ribeye.... stupidly tasty! The wife had the fillet and we shared king crab. Fillet was alright, but she preferred my wagyu ribeye.

Got au gratin potatoes and asparagus for the table. Best asparagus ever! Potatoes I could’ve made at home
Dessert was a banana fosters dessert & ice cream inside a chocolate globe, melted with caramel by the waiter, very good!

Other notables.

Voodoo rooftop night club. We got hooked up getting a table with a awesome bottle of vodka with a bunch of accompaniments. Music was mostly late 90’s early 2000 rnb, hip hop etc..
Haha that was a blackout night. Ended up with a dirty burger and fries back at the hotel restaurant .

Cirque du soleil mystere- amazing show, lots of laughs as well! Don’t be late to one of these as a few late comers got picked on and included in the act!!

Carlos bakery- tried his famous cannolis and lobster tails. I found the lobster tails way better!

Misses

Tried the buffet in the link hotel, really could’ve done without this, but wanted to experience one (had good reviews)

Sugarcane
Good food, but nothing to blow you away. Went here as a late night option , as nothing else was open. Doubt I’d go back if I had a choice.

On the fence...

Cucina by Wolfgang Puck
Calamari to start, was good but nothing special. I got the carbonara pizza. Good ,but the one at Spago was miles better in terms of flavour (even the crust tasted like a different recipe, or they didn’t execute properly)
Wife’s chicken parm was average.
The saving grace was the tiramisu. Probably the best one I’ve ever had!

I would give it another go, getting different dishes just to get the tiramisu again.

Anyone still play MyVegas? I'm surprised there are still decent rewards. We haven't gone to Vegas since 2016, and figured we'd give it a shot this year. We had enough LP to cover 4 nights at MGM Signature, a pair of Love tickets, and a couple Mandalay Spa day passes. I hope to redeem a few more things before we go in September.

I just started playing a few months ago... I kinda stopped going to Vegas though. Had enough of the nickel and diming.

My last trip was a few years ago. Found out I had to pay for parking... that was the last straw. I was already pissed when they started charging resort fees. Fees that have grown over the years, some hotel resort fees are now more than the room rate itself. Now they take away free parking...

Vegas used to be a cheap place to go for sun and fun. Was cheaper than a weekend in Victoria....

Try the Wynn app, the only thing you can redeem for is rooms at the Wynn and it's tedious but you can def. get free rooms.

The thing that is shitty about MyVegas is you can only do one room redemption every 30 days, weekends are almost never available and you'll pay resort fees.

The Wynn app you can book almost any day of the week, I believe you can book up to 3 or 4 nights in a row per account? No resort fees but you're opting out of the Wifi and the gym which for me is no big deal. The rooms are really nice, way better then anything you'll get from any hotel on MyVegas. Also free parking.

I got a weekend free in march there using the app, I have enough gems to get two more nights not planning on going back until next year so aiming for 4 nights. I play mainly during the scratcher events, it's a grind but doable if you're patient.

I'm doing a bachelor's trip in June. Is it worth it to buy the presale tickets for the club ($30USD/person right now) or are there better options when we arrive?

I didn’t.. wanted to but this trip was for the kids. I’ve done Vegas the adult way many times. Who knew there was so much fun shit for kids to do? We all had a blast. They especially enjoyed getting roasted at Dick’s Last Resort. Our server was great there.

Main attractions visited:
The Sphere
Adventuredome
Omega Mart/Area 15

Plus a bunch of other spots we just stumbled upon along the way that were kid friendly. Arcades, candy stores, the Coke building where we tasted different flavours from around the world. There’s a place dedicated to Stranger Things near that where they got all the Snapchat/insta photos in they could handle. The list goes on..
