The one on the north end of the strip is outdoors, similar to Seattle Premium Outlets, while the one on the south end of the strip is an indoor mall.

I liked the outdoor one a lot more. The two stores there that I liked in particular were A|X and DKNY.

I'm so tempted since I graduated this year, and the Star Trek convention has always occured during summer final exams. Have you gone before? Is there much else that's exciting besides the celebrity Q&A and merchandise tables?

I'll agree that the summer months in Vegas are insanely hot during the day, but it shouldn't stop you from going. You'll hardly spend any time outdoors in Vegas, and even then, it's manageable for a few minutes if you're walking to your next destination.

I'm not sure of the conditions of your free flight, but I saw on redflagdeals.com that Air Canada has some ~$550 round trip flights to Tokyo in June if you're interested.

speaking of the star trek experience, does anyone know any good places to get those huge drinks with a bunch of shots in it like they had at the star trek restaurant in vegas? ive only read of jimmy buffett margaritaville having something similar.

I've heard the Star Trek Experience is being moved to Freemont street and that Quark's bar opened in time for the movie. Don't quote me on that tho... but those big drinks can be be had just about anywhere... any La Salsa would have it and they're all over the place

I've actually never been, I'm a huge trekkie but of all the times I've been to Vegas, I never went for the convention and only went to the attraction once. I figure I gotta do it once in my life and it may as well be on a year of a movie release.

I just booked my flights with Alliegent (surprised I didn't decide to drive again)... special on right now if you book before May 31st. Book a flight and hotel package for 2 adults for a minimum of 2 nights, the second person flies for free.... My total cost for 2 people, 3 nights at the Luxor came to $527 USD.... I used the money I would've spent on a Corvette ZHZ from Hertz

I am quoting you, and it is incorrect lol. Quark's Bar, along with all other parts of the planned Freemont Street Star Trek Experience, do not exist yet.

i went for 6 nights...4 nights is prob more than enough to do everything in vegas...6 is pushing a bit, but i'd do it again lol

make sure to check out rio buffet off the strip...biggest and baddest one, so insane. Go early or late or something though for dinner, as the lineups get retarded...disneyland-retarded...

hot as in you feel like your in a microwave. I went 3 times in 8 months recently. When I was there in June or July I can't remember right not it was so unbearable every time we walk past a couple hotels we just had to go in to take a break.

Well, it's one of the five star hotels, so... yeah, it's one of the better hotels.

You can go here and take a Virtual Tour of what their rooms look like:

I just booked 5 nights at Paris for $1050 including airfare from Vancouver. Going in July...yes I know it's hot, but it's the only time my wife and I could get off

I heard there is a place there to buy discount show tickets on the day of the show. Can anybody confirm this?

Yeah, Tix4Tonight usually sells them. There's one at Fashion Show Mall, the other at the Coca Cola store near MGM. I think there's other little booths scattered around the Strip too that sell cheap tickets as well.

July is pretty hot. I was in Vegas for a month a few years back for work in August and it was hot as hell, although you eventually get used to it.

basically ppl there give u a discount if u come listen to their time share presentation for 1 hour. Couples only. I had friends who had it work out well...on the other hand it may be crappy shows.
