Have you used the Jupiter for video? The aperture doesn't have click stops, if I recall, so that lens may be good for cinematic uses too. |
|
^ nice shots! How do you like the D3x compared to do the 1d mkiv? |
That second shot is awesome! looks like one of those commercials where the dog is about to talk to you |
i've always loved the 35mm primes, one of the best ones out there. -ed |
What an expensive combination.. stunning results. Man I want that 35mm f1.4 =D |

Nice Colin! Love tiesto! David: get a room lah! ;) |
Hey Colin, we have about the same shots! ahaha |
^ haha really? I remeber your wide angle tiesto shot and that's where I got the idea for that wide angle hardwell shot :) |
|
|
^ lighting is spot on! Great job |
sweet David! did u get studio space? that 2nd one is insane..... does the girl wear a dress size 6 by any chance and is taller than 5'7" ? |
^there was a similar one to that second shot on your flickr that I liked better. The left hand/claw bothers me in this one, but the other shot it was more neutral. Lighting looks really good, nice color in the background sets a good mood. |
Jackson: yeah I got a studio space! I don't what dress size she is.. I can ask though! Civic: yeah I know what you mean about the claw hands, but I really like the hair in that shot. Posted via RS Mobile |
For the jumping shots, try shooting from slightly below - that will exaggerate the height she is jumping. |
|
David, mind telling us your lighting setup and power?! |
Tomasz: I used two white lightning x1600's in two large soft boxes. One was placed on camera left about 4 ft behind subject at 1/4 power The other was placed at camera right about 7ft in front of subject at 1/2 power Camera settings were: 100 iso 1/160 second f/5.6 Custom white balance w/ grey card Senna: I was shooting from about waist level.. i couldn't angle the camera TOO high up because I didn't want to miss too much of the background. I was using a black seamless and the studio walls and ceiling are all painted black so it wasn't too huge of a problem if i cut out some of the paper but there was a big fluorescent light in the middle of the room that i didn't want in the frame. Also, I cropped the photos to focus more on the girl. Jackson: She's a size 0 and 5'2".. i'm a horrible boyfriend.. don't even know how tall my girlfriend is nor do i know her dress size... haha |
