try updating ur r4ds firmware. if still doesn't work that yea its the roms.

for anybody that likes pokemon. Try out dragon quest joker. Its like pokemon but square enix style

Firmware is up to date. I've only had it for about 2 weeks (got it for Christmas).

I'll just try different sites I guess until it works, thanks =)

To everyone who PM'd me about an R4 (holy crap!) please wait until Jan 12th, when I get back from Japan. I'll see how the situation is then.

lol f*king gold dsl... touchscreen works half the time.. and now it killed my R4.. all it does is shows loading and just freeze there -_- meh ~ need to send the dsl back for repair and see what i can do with the R4 now :(

Fuck! I just got my MS DS REAL today, I've done everything right, buy when I load up my DS, there's NO game icon in the main menu. Help?

Why the hell are DS's sold out everywhere?

^ Dude, I got my DS about a week ago at The Source, and I had to call in to ask for stock. Prior to that, I spent more than 2 weeks runnin around Vancouver looking for one, and they were sold out everywhere. So I went down to the states with my fam, checked out a few places there, 2 walmarts, gamestop, target, sears, and they were sold out as well.

the odd thing is, they were selling the wii for $569.99USD, and it was the pre-order price..

i dont know if its mentioned on the thread before but hav you guys played Ninja Gaiden DS demo?

if not, i can upload it to a hosting site and share.

but i dont know if that will violate the rules of "no roms sharing"

but its just a demo though...... but its sweet....

I just got Mario & Sonic at the Olympic going to try it out later. Still waiting for the new bomber man 2 game.

Nintendo has been complaining rather loudly about piracy of late.

It might be interesting to not have any anti-piracy consequences for the first couple of days of a products release and then step up a series of countermeasures... say triggering after 2 weeks.

This would basically turn the game into a demo and effectively corrupt torrents and other distribution systems with valid, but anti-piracy protected games.

This technique is used by malicious code developers as the key is to get the virus or trojan as widely distributed as possible.

The DS and pretty much every console does include a clock, so there is a good way to trigger such a security technique.

Also, for the DS, the "pirated" versions could also stop storing progress after a certain number of hours after a delay.

The key is to get players invested in the game and convince them to buy.

Ideally, Nintendo and everyone else should embrace digital distribution so that these pirates/ low cost digital distribution providers can be converted into legitimate sales. Ideally, the system should be designed so that "pirates" get paid as a low-cost digital distribution channel - why not? They have access to lots of potential customers.
