My New Toy (hypa - Look Here!) Well, all it took was a 7 hour post on Craigslist and my 2006 Yamaha Vino 49cc scooter was sold to some major hot milf. 24 hours fast foward (today) I ended up finding a 1983 Vespa Piaggio P200E for sale on Craigslist. I won't say for how much but it was a steal. Yes, it's a little old, ugly (hella ugly infact) but I was looking exactly for a vintage Italian Vespa Piaggio and this was perfect. It needs a bit of work starting from some new gaskets, transmission cruciform, exhaust and clutch/brake cables but other than that, the paint has got to go and some minor cosmetic changes here and there. My goal is to restore it throughout the summer and winter to be ready for the riding season of 2007. Here are some photos and yes, they look like crap and in real life, yes, it looks like crap. Here are some specs from the Vespa Piaggio: Casing mouth: 3 transfer ports Induction: disc valve Bore: 66.5 mm Stroke: 57 mm Cubic capacity: 198 cc Compression ratio: 9.8: 1 Bhp at rpm: 12 @ 5700 Con rod length:110mm Piston compression height: 42.5mm Piston type: domed Small end diameter:16mm Big end diameter:20mm Flywheel side bearing: .... Drive side bearing: 613912 Input shaft bearing:6302 Output shaft bearing (flywheel side): Rear wheel bearing:6204C4 Flywheel side oil seal: 24x35x6 Drive side oil seal: 31x62x4.3/5.8 Rear hub oil seal: 30x47x6 Top Speed: 120Kmh/75Mph http://d.im.craigslist.org/U9/02/k3Q...JVytfyJ5ne.jpghttp://c.im.craigslist.org/07/jz/dQL...pXSCUp0qA8.jpg http://d.im.craigslist.org/yo/sO/VU4...V6OW4izw1T.jpghttp://c.im.craigslist.org/cW/T2/QiF...iLmV3KdhYG.jpg |
Kickin' it old schooooool |
oh shit.. Green.. now thats cool.. |
You finally got your Vespa. Congrats, Mike. |
120 km/h!!!! |
This is the stock Italian green found in a lot of Vespas in Europe. I personally think it's fugly so the colour's got to go. I was thining of a flat silver to keep the vintage Vespa look. |
that thing is pimp |
Hahaha that is pimp! I saw a bunch of those while I was in Spain. Scooters over there are sooooo popular. That seat looks hella comfy. |

wow 200CC hahah have fun |
ahh, the Vespa. A design that hasn't changed in over 50 years. Yours is Takata green too! :lol She's bored for good torque and short stroke will have some revability (is that a word?). Plus 200cc, and Italian styling will ensure you will be kicking it with the ladies. Just don't rev on any Harley guys. :lol |
that green has got to go, the silver like you mentioned would look really good. i120kmh top speed is crazy |
that green is wicked... keep it! |
