something cool that i found out listening on the radio today:

there's a 'zero' track on Bloc Party's Silent Alarm cd

you have to pause in track 1 then rewind to get into the special hidden track

does anybody know any other hidden cool stuff from other cds?

skyze 12-18-2006 01:27 PM

if you like three days grace you should check out billy talent.

you cant really compara tdg with billy talent. they're completely different bands with different styles of music.

skyze 12-19-2006 01:28 AM

there style is different but they both practically preach about the same thing: pain and the like.

My Chemical Romance might be another option. Their old album not the new one. Haven't listened to it yet.

mako 12-19-2006 04:28 PM

well half the bands out there have some sort of song about pain, being angry or being mad.

there are or were many 'angry' bands out there: staind, puddle of mudd, default, theory of a deadman, nickelback. all very similiar bands with similiar songs.

mako 12-20-2006 06:52 PM

Trapt

heard these guys on the radio today and it made me remember something

they're a similiar 'style' to Three Days Grace because they're angry and their first single (Headstrong) actually came out around the same time as TDG's first single 'I Hate Everything About You' came out

Rhetorical 12-23-2006 09:03 PM

mako 12-25-2006 01:07 PM

mako 01-03-2007 08:06 PM

heard the new Modest Mouse and Arcade Fire singles

mmm ... not really liking the MM song yet but the Arcade Fire song was pretty interesting

Keane's Crystal Ball is a pretty good song too.

Thrice is excellent. I'd add Paper Tigers (AWESOMELY heavy song), Stare at the Sun, Atlantic and The Earth Will Shake. Hell, pretty much the whole Vheissu album was a success.

I wish I did have tickets to Incubus, I ended up liking Light Grenades after all.

mako 01-04-2007 04:07 PM

im kicking myself for not pre-ordering the cd and getting first dibs on tickets :(

svelt 01-06-2007 09:05 PM

Definitely. I heard the concert yesterday was absolutely intense. One I definitely regret not going to...

mako 01-06-2007 09:30 PM

It was AWESOME ... best show I've been to ever, followed closely by the first time that I saw them :D
Can you tell that I'm an Incubus fan hahah.

The opener, Albert Hammond Jr (guitarist from Stokes) was really good. If you like the Strokes, you'd like his stuff too. Very Strokes sounding though, but thats not surprising. I wish they were selling his cd there, I would've picked one up.

Incubus came on and it was solid from start to finish. The only beef that I had was that they didn't play Pardon Me!!! arrrrgh!
Other than that, it was insane. They played everything. Stellar, Make Yourself, Wish You Were Here, Drive, Megalomaniac, Anna Molly and about 5 other new tracks. Even did an acoustic version of New Skin.

Still need to get myself Light Grenades
