So I listened to CLB and was like ehh..kinda trash nothing that really caught me Then I listened to Donda..Jesus Christ what a pile of shit..Kanye legit gonna he the next celeb to commit suicide I think because he’s pretty clearly lost grasp on reality |
Donda definitely sucked. As an atheist it's pretty hard to listen to any of his shit anymore when he's constantly talking about God and Jesus on every track. Then to top it all off he only released the clean version of the album to make it just that much more shitty than it already was. |

I'm hooked on this group. Lots of sax........... soprano, alto, alto, tenor, and dat bass player. She just kills it. Drummer is pretty good, too. Tight group. Check out their other recordings. |
I just discovered MF Doom a while ago... wish I knew about this album back then Dammit |

Going through my LP's................... the best, "Make Out," song ever........... ah, memories. This one blonde chick with really nice skin............... anyway, she gave whole new meaning to Chuck Mangione's album, "Feels So Good." She loved this song and the second one. Always did the trick. |
Just heard this song on 70's on 7 (Sirius XM) Brings back so many fine memories. College days. Toga parties and loose women. Something about this song makes people want to sing along and women go topless..................and we're not talking Quaker Women protesting, gulolol (look it up). Too much partying resulted in academic probation (UBC) that eventually led me to going back to college. Fun times. Only young once.......... Like in the song, I said no no no no to parties and worked my way back to UBC where I finished at the top of my class. |
Here is the original version of killing me softy with his song. Here is the version the Fugees covered It's been covered over 400 times. https://secondhandsongs.com/work/841/all Great video covering the 3 versions. |
this whole set AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH |
Was at Neptoon Records this afternoon. Came across this CD. Cats in the Cradle is another of his hits. Actually, all his songs are gold, but this one is my all time favourite. |
The world is a pretty messed up place. It's depressing at times. When I feel down. I put this on and all seems better. Lois Armstrong. The history behind this man is incredible. Through pain and suffering, he still finds the strength to sing such a beautiful song. Nobody sings it like him. |
Fuck like Marilin Monroe.................... |
Two of my favourite cuts from Dire Straits album, "On Every Street." One's making fun of christianity (televangelists) and the other, rich bozos. Great music and lyrics. Some people think Ticket to Heaven is a beautiful song about love and god............ little do they know it's about the selling of god to mindless simpletons. Reading some of the comments make me wAnder how people put two and two together to make it past life............... nuff said. god bless..................Gulolololol. |
Every time I hear the, “Where do you go?” song on the radio, it reminds me of this 60’s hit……….. probably not related, but the one written and sung by Peter Startedt is timeless. I actually found the LP with this song on it. Playing it now………… scratches and all (didn’t take care of my vinyl like I do now). https://youtu.be/HqgCnjJVfSg?si=wwXXB0coiW1bLlKy https://youtu.be/b8JOi1q5ugs?si=W0Q1wknUMe83cW8v |
Starts at 13:50 - Song is N-trance "Set you free" havent been listening to a lot of "new" music (as in its always whats on my spotify on repeat lol i dont venture out to find new music) but heard this song during Da Tweekaz Tomorrowland set and it's giving some kinda diff goosebumps these days and i can't get enough of it |
Been hearing the cowboy version of "Fast Car" quite a bit these days. I'm not a huge country music fan, but everytime I hear it, it makes me want to hear the original. So much better...... warmer, genuine, etc. I broke down and purchased a CD. Tracy Chapman by Tracy Chapman. I've been hearing that the rest of the album the song is on is pretty damn good. It arrived today (Amazon.ca). Wow........... the whole CD is amazing. I lucked out as this CD is the one produced in Germany. The best recording of the album. Sound that rivals the vinyl recording in warmth and detail. Such a beautiful person. Her voice, her personality. The struggles she faced.............. nuff said. |
^Whites tryna colonize everything :lol |
I may have posted this before, but who cares? It's one of the great jazz standards. I found an SACD recording of Time Out - very nice (DSD Multi 2.8 MHz/1bit). Also have two versions on vinyl. I would love to get my hands on the Columbia Stereo 6 eye version. Nearly impossible to get in new to good condition. |
