Dude, your Ebisu website looks like it came straight from 1996 and was hosted by Geocities. Not only that, but half the links don't work. If I was coming from out of the country and was looking for nice restaurants to eat, I would stumble upon your website and quickly leave it.

our platter was so fishy tasting, we couldn't finish it.

Really? It's always super fresh because we go through so many every day (at least hundreds) so we always bring in new ones. Plus we shuck'em when you order them, not pre-made. Nothing sits at the restaurant for more than a day.. that is weird, but sometimes you'll get the odd few that are not as fresh ... you should have told us we would have replaced it for you!

I am wondering why there was no PPV game shown at the Richmond location on Friday night?

Yeah I don't think they purchased the PPV package in Richmond. They don't pull in enough Canuck fans just to watch PPV for it to be worth it, the package is over $1200! That's like $150 a game. We do have PPV in Downtown though!

Haha I know I know I used my very limited HTML skills to build that. I have a Japanese company doing up a new one as we speak, they are doing it for all 4 websites within our company and launching it in a few weeks. It's better than having NOTHING up. It was just an "Under Construction" page on it for months. :p

IfUCare 03-03-2009 11:32 PM

it's was ok, been to ebisu many times, and was satisfied each and every single time. We were sure it was just a bad batch of oysters but it left a bad enough taste in our mouth we didn't want anymore. Definitely won't stop us from coming back.

Hiya, got a small question.

Does EBISU broadcast UFC events? Because if so, MMA + japanese food = :drool

After reading that TOKIO went there, I'm now obligated to try out the place. Any specials for revscene members? :p

Obsideon 03-04-2009 12:58 PM

Hey ap0x-, unfortunately we stopped broadcasting UFC last year because they totally jacked up the prices for Commercial Licensing and it's way too expensive now. If you noticed, a LOT of restaurants that used to have it aren't showing it anymore. The only places that still show it are the pubs (and I believe they have cover charges) and the Edgewater Casino, maybe even RiverRock? (well we all know they make enough money to broadcast it haha)

Just ask for me when you come down and I'll see what I can do! ;)

Anyone see my buddy in a dress last night? It was his stag night and he had to do so many dares (e.g. walk up to different tables, have strangers draw on him, sing customers songs, etc). Sorry Deon if we ruined a lot of people's appetite that night lol

Playoffs are just around the corner and Canucks are finally in! YEAH BABY!
Ebisu celebrates them for getting in will be following them throughout the Playoffs (hopefully to the cup!) and anyone that comes to eat & drink on game night will have a chance to win FREE BEER! So now there's TWO reasons to cheer for our Vancouver Canucks!

Go Canucks Go!

tea is not free?
pretty sure it is

Obsideon 04-23-2009 12:46 PM

At lunch time it's free.
Dinner time it's like a buck for premium green tea with free refills or 2 bucks for Oolong Tea.

Unless you've had waaaaaay too much alcohol to drink! Then I would usually give you all the tea you want LOL!

hamsup 05-21-2009 10:50 AM

New Menu is out at Ebisu.. saw it yesterday night.. lots of new things to try out.. as well as some cool desserts !

Supafly 05-28-2009 01:45 PM

So i payed a visit to ebisu on robson a few nights ago and was happy about the expirience...Your severs were quick to get us seated during peak hours, and was very polite.
My SO and i ordered a few dishes

-Assorted Tempura
-Dozen Royal Miyagi Oysters
-Tuna Tacos
-Saba Inferno
-Oyster Matoyaki
-Shrimp Sizzler

for drinks we ordered a few golden balls and a few chichis for her...

overall the service was great and the food was exellent aside from the shrimp sizzler. The only downfall was that i did not get to greet the infamous deon as he was on vacation.

will comeback forsure, with a bigger apetite.:)

mrclean604 06-03-2009 09:25 PM

Going to be having my birthday party there this saturday :D
booked it for 25 but i might have to change it to 30 since apparently everyone i invited actually wants to go haha. hoping to have a good time :D

Supafly 06-04-2009 10:13 AM

So i went there again with a few buddies a few days ago.... although the drinks were good, the food was not so impressive.

We got

-raw Oysters
-Saba Inferno
-Hamachi Inferno
-a few BBQ plates
-fried oysters
-Ultimate Unagi
-Yakisoba/udon noodles..

well first off, the server over-cooked the Inferno box pressed sushi...the first time i went there, she just lightly charred the tops and away she went; it was great...this time she certainly made sure that the hamachi and the saba was charred; the peices had a butane/propane smell to them afterwards which was not pleasing at all.

the raw oysters were good for maybe 8 of the 12 peices...i had 2 bad peices and my friends found the other 2.

the bbq plates were fantastic, i have no complaints.:D

the ultimate unagi is an aquired taste?...don't get me wrong, i like unagi, but this time i found it almost burnt by the bowl as i don't know how long it was sitting on the counter smoking away before being served to me...i like the oe one style better... i found the broth (soup) took away lots of flavor?

no complaints from the yakisoba/udon noodles. :D

drink wise...i thought it was great...im addicted to the golden balls. Maybe start using real lychee now..as it may give it more authentic kick.:)
besides, its in season.

i will still continue to return, but i'll just avoid some of menu items next time...

XxFcukxX 06-06-2009 10:52 AM

so to get the card do i just go there when i eat and ask deon for one or do i have to get it before i go eat there?

Shun Izaki 06-06-2009 11:47 AM

Sent a couple friends there couple nights ago.

They had never had the saba inferno, and hamachi inferno.

They were summarily impressed, and advised me it was highly recommended!

K-Dub 06-06-2009 01:40 PM

Nice Deon, partnering up with Chowtimes!

Spend more than $30 and get a free dessert (with coupon).

Go here to read more about it and also see the new menu.
