She's pregnant. Has been almost the entire season.

Some of the episodes near the end of the season were actually filmed at the beginning of the season with the middle filler episodes being filmed last. You'll notice that Cobie isn't pregnant at all in the season finale...

I just discovered the greatness that is HIMYM this year and I have now managed to get through all 4 seasons. Amazing show.

Wasn't it Alyson Hannigan that didnt appear in the last 3 eps? I thought the writers made up the whole peanut butter joke as a way of giving her time off cause she was pregnant. It was extremely obvious she was pregnant in the finale with all the tables signs etc blocking her body. Plus that little joke from Jason Segel. Cobie is pregnant as well but Alyson is definately further along.

Today's episode was alright. :D Best part was when they were at the Rangers/Canucks game where she's yelling at Hordi :D
