holy fuck that was brutal. It was sooooo cold standing outside for an hour and 30. Lucky I had a nice person in line with me that was cool, we switched it up and went to the sandwich place while the other stayed in line for a bit.
Man I never want to do that again.

Bump!
Anyone pass by the passport office in downtown Vancouver, or in Richmond lately?
I'm sure if you show up before they open, you'll get a decent spot in line. If you show up right when they open, you'll be in for a long wait. However, if you show up at like 10am, there might be little or no wait at all. So any idea what the best time to go might be?

Went around 11am and the wait wasn't bad. It was about 30mins.
Went to the Sinclair Centre. It is kind of stupid how it is set up. You need to go to this place on the main floor to make sure you have all your stuff then you go wait on the second floor to actually process your application.

Ended up going to the Richmond office on Tuesday around 6:30pm, and there was NO wait at all! So I probably missed the after-work rush. It definitely helps that the office is open until 8pm. Looks like my passport will be ready by August 12, or in about 2 weeks.
