For those who own or have played the full version of inFamous, what's your take on the repetitiveness of the game?
I was thinking of picking it up, and while the open-world environment with climbing sounds cool, the gameplay videos make the whole open-world activities seem pretty repetitive.
Is there any RPG factor to the game? (leveling up, different attacks, character customization)

its got good reviews
it seems like GTAIV + Assassin's Creed..so I dunno sandbox usually has no reply value unless there's multiplayer..i havent touched the demo yet.
Prototype seems like a very similar game too..i probably wanna buy that just to support them b/c they're based in Vancouver

Is there any RPG factor to the game? (leveling up, different attacks, character customization) | I'm 3 hours into the game. It's a bit repetitive, but unbelievably fun. There are a variety of missions you could do. You can level up your powers according to your karma level and EXP. You gain new ones along the way. You should definitely try the demo at least. I love the game myself.

i love the game, i'm probably around 5 hours into it
some of the missions do get repeated, but the game is still awesome and hard, which makes it more fun
definitely go check it out!!!!
as for prototype, must get game since it looks awesome in a super violent way

^ u r right, playing on hard is more fun and rewarding. btw did u end up getting the gigawatt blades code?
i'm pretty much done in the 2nd district of empire city so far. i'm really enjoying the game though. getting from one part of the city to another is a joy and you can move with such ease. the missions aren't the best and certain mission types like "satellite uplink" and others are repetitive, but it doesn't take away from the overall "fun" factor of the game at all. Cole's powers are bad-ass and as you gain access to upgrades and more moves it gets even better.
i can't wait for prototype either. got about a week to finish infamous which shouldn't be a problem so i can get to playing prototype.

hey guys, if i have an external hard drive for movies, it has to be FAT32 to play videos from? so is there a way to play my 4GB+ sized files on my ps3 without streaming? havent tried streaming yet but i dont think it'll do well with such huge files.

i split the file if it's over 4GB.
most movies are 6GB+.
mkv2vob does an awesome job at muxing and transcoding videos.
The thing with movies is the 2nd part of the movie is only 15mins :P It doesn't split where you want it to. Quote:

For the Memory Card Slot (PS/PS2).... PS1 only has two slots? So if both Slot1/2 are fully used up, I'd have to start deleting saved data? Does this apply to PS2's 'virtual memory card' as well?

Heads up, for those who want to get Fallout 3. It's on sale at HMV right now for 29.99. I think the sale ends tomorrow. I successfully PM'ed it at FS and got it for 25.99+tax.

^^great deal on a great game
the expansions are coming out for the ps3 finally so I guess that's why there's a price drop.
the full game will be released along with the 5 add-ons in the fall for around $60.
