I wanna see that bong in action. How big is it? They showed me a bong that was smaller then the really big ones that said 7mm on it and looked like yours but it was a bubble in the bottom instead of a straight tube. so my question is whats the difference other then the bubble area holding more water? The one I wanted had 2 perc's and a bubble instead of straight tube at the bottom. The ashcatcher was an extra 40 so it was 240 plus the bags are like 40-50 I think. I think I should just order a RooR online seems like a good idea to just spend the few extra dollars now.

I don't know why the ashcatcher should cost an extra 40 tho, as it should be come as a set with the bong. Personally, I looked into the ROOR ones and considered ordering online. But with ordering online, its always iffy cause they never REALLY look like the pictures .. I personally checked out the ROORS at the stores be4 i made my choice, and GEAR really just suits my needs a lot better. It doesnt have the brand name plastered everywhere, and GEAR just has a more subtle design that i think girls are less afraid of ;)

IDK if you know this, but always haggle if you can on bongs. They can always give you a little bit of leeway, tax off is a MUST. If you're not afraid of being too jew, if your going to buy your bong at CCHQ, make them give you free admission for everyone you're with that day so you can try it out in the store for free ^^. Hit me up anytime and we should start a sesh ;). A lil heads up on any bong with a perc (or maybe an ashcatcher if you've never owned one with), these things are fcking HARD to clean as hell. Because of its unatural shape and hard to get places, cleaning these become something that you would never want to do, making it super dirty most of the time.

I finally get what you mean by a straight tube and a bubble tube. Erm, I personally don't know the reason behind it, but I THINK its a)just part of GEAR design and maybe b) it holds more smoke at the base because you actually cant fill water up to the second bubble or else it'd backwash your weed with water.

A lil heads up on ashcatchers without shotgun holes: my new ashcatcher does NOT have a shotgun hole, so weed will actually backwash into the bowl if u do not pull it out DURING a toke. IE tokes must be TOKE->TAKE OUT CATCHER->TOKE MORE->EXHALE

Didn't know that and thanks for the tip on haggling. The bong I was looking at was clear and blue and the ashcatcher I would have to buy was all clear. That also made me steer away from it. I like the hits from bongs way better then vaporizers I don't know why. I can't make up my mind on Gear vs. RooR. I know the RooR will cost me more but its not like I buy a bong everyday. I am rarely ever going to buy one so why not go for the best? Or is it really the best? I have heard good things about them but I also heard good things about the silver surfer vaporizer and I think the volcano is 100 times better.

Yeh, i guess the ashcatcher isnt part of your set, and thats why you have to buy it seperately? IDK. When your buying your ashcatcher though, try to get the one with the shotgun hole in the front, it will honestly save you a lot of hassle on wetting the weed.

Gear VS RooR? I personally started my bong-age on gear, so i'd say im a little biased. RooR makes some really good quality stuff, and thats known to all potheads. But the thing is, most of the RooR stuff you get here isn't ... REAL RooR. If im not mistaken RooR is originated in germany, and thats the GOOD stuff. The stuff we get here is actually mostly american made, and some argue its the same quality though i think differently. For gear, although i've never heard of the brand before i bought one, i've loved them since i owned one. The glass feels like indistructable and its solid all around. The ONLY part (which i think is pretty common among all bongs) is the part where the stem enters. When your releasing the ashcatcher you will always be using that part, and as that part isn't part of the "7mm ness", it is actually quite fragile, and thats where my other bong broke, so watch out for that.

I'm like you though, i just love taking rips out of the bong. Yah vapor is all clean and stuff like that, but the high doesnt last nearly as long, and u never get the real "taste" of the bud your tasting. And in short, it just doesnt look as COOL. When your chilling with friends thers nothing like taking massive tokes and freaking girls out XD.

I like your choice with the double perc though, but theres some questions you gotta be asking yourself. First off, I don't know if you ever owned a bong with an ashcatcher, but their fucking BRUTAL to clean. Perculator? Even worse. And you've got TWO percs. The first perc would be hard to clean by itself, and i'd say you wouldnt even be able to TOUCH the second one. If you're the kind of guy that would clean your bong everyday, thats the only way you'd be able to keep that bong looking pretty. If not, its going to end up looking like going through stages of cancer, especially if your constantly loading the bowl. Secondly, it SEEMS like thats an icecatcher on the top, but I don't know if its designed for that. Im a big fan of ice, and if you are too than I wouldn't be going to that bong because there doesnt seem to have much space for it. I see you looked under the perculator section of the site, so maybe ice isn't a big concern to you. But ice really makes a difference, and when packed to the top sometimes you won't even know how much smoke your getting into you because it turns that smooth ;). Let me know what you decide.

jUST to let ya know about the cotton mouth roor's that those are bought from Germany. My buddy used to do all the ordereing for them. That's why sometimes it takes so long to get them in due to issues with the shipping and customs.

I want something for ice for sure. The only bong(s) I have smoked out of have never had percs/ashcatchers/ice/etc. Just plain and simple bong with water which tears your throat apart pretty fast. I want the same type of hit but just colder and smoother. When I clean my small pipes I just take a bowl put my pipe in there and submerge it in liquid pipe cleaner for about 30 minutes. I then run water through it for a couple of minutes and usually the thing comes out tottaly clean. Would the same method (with obviously a lot more pipe cleaner liquid) work for bongs with percs?

I specificly asked the person working if the RooRs were german, and they said no. They said that it was from a place in the states thats authorized.

Bong cleaning (or any cleaning related to marijuana) is all about alcohol-that is, 99% alcohol isopropyl. THC resin, the black stuff that gets stuck on your bongs and hand are not dissolveable in water, but are dissolveable in fat and alcohol. You can get it at your local pharmy and its a lot cheaper than "bong cleaner" which is basicly the same thing but with added soap or something like that.

Hey guys, i was wondering if any of you tried "carbon filter". So far i've only seen the RooR bongs that come with the carbon adapter, and from a quick lil search it seems it does wonders.

It seems to have kept the perc and the rest of the bong ultra clean ... I gotta get one of these adapters for my Gear! Kinda gives me second thoughts about mine now that I found this untapped technology lol :P
