so i was there for at 830-930 for the first time yesterday were all you guys there

I'm usually there either in the morning 6-730am or 5-730pm

I live in Burnaby so I either head there before or after work then head home.

just signed up! i like it so far, and they dont try to sell a bunch of crap to you liek most gyms.

The pins are slowly disappearing from the cable machines, they need to get some replacements. How hard is it, seriously

The 3rd treadmill from the left is still unoperable.:lol

all you have to do is tell boby the brown guys whose the manager there and he will take care of it i told him about the rope for doing triceps and he had a new one within a day or two

Either that or tell Nick. He's there most nights from 11pm until the morning.

I remember going there around midnight and stopping off again a few hours later before work and he was still sitting in the office surfing the net lol

Looks like 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu is opening up classes at Sport Central

Don't know about prices yet but I'm definitely interested to see if those of us that already have gym memberships will get a good deal on it.

how many of you have used the steam room?

They caged off the ring + jiu jitsu area cause 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu is there now.

Mon-Thurs: 730-9pm

Anybody take it yet? I asked the guy at the front desk last night and he said it's ~$80/month if you're a member but you have to sign a year long contract ...

So you'd have to pay $960 up front?

The guy at the front desk doing the graveyard shift last night (er...or this morning - depends how you look at it :p) said it should be $80/month if you sign a 1 year contract.

I'm going to assume they do it like how SC does it where they charge you monthly. Depends though cause I know Dynamic wanted all the money up front.

fuck been busy and then sick, havent hit the gym for a month now, lost fuckin 7lbs, pissed the hell off.

yeah, but i've personally never stepped foot in there. I only ever see hongers there haha

the treadmills are baaaaaaaad.
one person nearly injured himself because the treadmill suddenly "stopped"/stuttered at one point. at least two treadmills are acting up.

they need all new cardio equipment, a lot of things actually

drop in is so expensive, all i wanna do is play some basketball and to get the court is like $16 a person

-GHETTO.
-Dirty
benches are ripped and stinks as if some dirty freak that hasnt bathed in 3 months been using it. In reality i wouldnt be surprised if the benches weren't wiped down on a daily basis. Even if they were its not clean.
-Some free weights are in horrible shape as if they've been dropped a billion times from members who simply DONT give a fuck. They're loose and dangerous.

Frankly i wouldnt even go to the gym even if they offered free membership, I wouldnt want to put my entire company through this mess just to save a couple bucks. Unless they brought up the hygiene level at least on par with steve nash / fw/ golds gym etc. Then i'd consider going to sport central if membership was half the price of my current company membership.

The equipment there is simply too old and worn out.

This was from my own and my companies observation during summer 2009.

Frankly (the cleanliness) kept me from opening a company membership there.

Ill revisit sport Central in April again, and we'll see if conditions are better.

i heard they just recently purchased 3 new cardio machines... i've been slacking it this past bit so i haven't seen them myself.

is this gym pretty packed late at night? say like 11PM - 1AM ?
