For 3 bills for a whole car, they'll get 4 guys with some rattlecans... That's not gonna be a great job.
Body work = Get what you pay for.
I paid 2+ bills for minor cosmetic work, but you'd never be able to tell what was touched up.

Paint work is 90% prep work and 10% the actual paint job.

Cheapest paint job? Good god. For $300, they'll be painting over the dirt left on the car, overspraying onto parts that's not meant to be painted, spray runs and lots of orange peel...

once you paint that car with cheap paint and prep, consider the car ruined, it will look ok for a month or so, but that will be it.
It will be really hard to take the $300 finish off if you plan to repaint it.
A can of car paint weather it be acrylic or base coat clear coat alone will run you more than $300 So don't expect much for that price.
If i was in financial situation, i'd prep the car myself and send it off to Macco.

It would be better not to paint your car, than to paint your car with $300.

You can get a decent paint job from Maaco if you do the prep yourself and then take it for them to spray . Not going to be a show car, but will look decent.

I saw one of those shops on kingsway, it was 599 but they use enamel paint. No thanks, enamel paint should be kept to paint ceramics, not cars.

park ur car @ metrotown... act cocky. and stare @ the gangsta... and someone will come up to ur car and key it.. then u pay 300$ deduct..how's that? cheapest?
and there is NO CHEAPEST PAINT JOB.
how much u pay.. how much u get
u can get ur car painted @ $2500-3000 ... that will look when its new...
u pay 599$... u will get ur car painted even worst then it is...

hate to tell yo this, but just material alone cost more than $300 per car. you need the paint mixed, clear coat, paint degreaser, masking paper, masking tape, primer, sanding paper, and misc. small things. you'd be better off paying $150 for a cut polish/wax detail and then touching up the chips/flaws. even then, it would probably cost you more than $300 depending on how bad the paint is.

Good luck trying to scam ICBC. They wouldn't repaint it a different colour unless you paid the difference.

no, they wouldn't change the colour of your car... and theyd most probably just paint that one panel
i recommend against committing insurance fraud. you'll get f*cked if they catch u.
as everyone says earlier... it depends on how you want your car to look. for $300, its pretty much a guarantee its going to look worse than it does now - if not right away after the paint job, it will after a month.
if you really want to save $, prep it yourself and take it to maaco. and maaco is borderline shit too.
or you can do this... this was really surprising! it turned out really well http://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/...0&fpart=1&vc=1

To change the color of your car they have to take off the doors and lots of other parts unless you still want your door jams to be a ugly green. Color change will cost you closer to $5000, a good paint job same color will cost you around $3000.

Maaco's high end paint job is actually really good, but for custom paint jobs like iridescent, and candy paints I have no idea. In fact if anyone knows a good paint place for specialty paints lemme know cause i was a candy blue paint job done on my 240
