So when I upgrade to the 5 they had that instant $50 off promo thing but it was that mail in card type thing I filled out at the Rogers store?

So I filled it out and the rep said "he will take care of it" now I got my bill with my HUP fee's etc and the $50 is not there? Is this Somthing I can talk to Retentions about and have it auto waived or did it rely on buddy sending it in for me and its applied when they get it? Cause that was like a month ago

That $50 credit shows up in your first or second bill after your upgrade. So you should wait at least you get your second bill. If you still havent gotten it, call in and bitch at them. I have gotten it on my second bill before.

Mailing it takings 6-8 weeks but doing it online is instant and will show up on the next inv. Log into Rogers.com and click on "Get my phone rebate." Under products and services IIRC

I recently ported to Fido, Rogers told me it will only cost me $100 for cancellation. I'm thinking this is going to happen to me too. I do have a note written on my account though. Unless they magically make that note disappear.

+ she waived the $150 early activiation fee for me

Then the lady proceeded to tell me I could go into a store and grab a iphone 5.. didn't tell me anything about the reserve system. I called 15 stores and had no luck until the 16th store finally had one white 32 gig in stock, success!

I've tried negotiating with retentions to waive my early upgrade fee, but no go... and they said if I renew my contract, they won't be able to let me keep my credits... here's my plan, what do you guys think?

Ok, Rogers plan of cutting all credits out and wearing us down with high dollar plans seems to work... I see tears of joy for $60 plans that three years ago we were laughing at.

got a call from Rogers "Renewal" department this morning, offering me a free upgrade with no upgrade fee/activation fee/etc if I sign for another 3 yrs... Funny thing is I just bought the Iphone 5 last night for cash outright, so I said no... She then offered me 100 Bonus minutes... I said I already have 100 bonus minutes on my plan, so she gave me another 100 lol... silly Rogers

I got that exact same call a couple weeks ago. They gave me 100 bonus minutes also which I will never end up using.

About 30-40% of people do not claim this rebate. That is they don't offer instant rebates.

thats what they told me, but when i was about 40 days before contract was up, I called and told them i was switching to wind, they gave me all the credits and literally want to keep me by giving me same plan......

Just curious, how long after your cancellation date did you receive this bill?

^Thats very good. How about Caller ID for your buddy?

I got 8 months left. Called for Note II and they said $229 waived admin fee (I thought bs but thanks anyways). Then asked for a better plan and they said it's already good. Idk how to tell them that it's not good enough cuz I know they can do better. Also renew contract or not is also an issue. First world problems.....
