Ed Hardy is cheaper in the states for sure. One of my friends bought a rhinestone Ed Hardy hat in the States for only $80.

Christian Audigier is more popular now actually. It's even pricier than Ed Hardy. The guy who helped design those tattoo designs on Ed Hardy shirts launched his own clothing label which is Christian Audigier.

CA is played man.. my buddy bought two T shirts spent like $400 and went to Vegas yesterday. He is there right now probably kicking himself cuz they are like half price in the US.

All designer clothes are cheaper in the US.

If I were you, i'd buy something else besides Ed Hardy/ CA.. and that Afflicition shit just makes you look like a wannabe CA fanboy haha.. But I agree with you, they are nice shirts.

i agree. hats are overplayed because they're cheap... like $40 -$60 in the US.

mens jackets and hoodies aren't as overplayed as they're more expensive... in the $200 range... CA even more.

3xta- which hoody did you buy? the skeleton one?

Christian Audigier has launched yet another clothing label called Smet. It's already hugely popular in LA. Christian Audigier is really a genius! He left Von Dutch in order to create the line Ed Hardy which takes designs from the famous tattoo artist by the same name. Next, came Christian Audigier of course. Smet is inspired by a rock 'n roll musician named Johnny Hallyday.

One of my friends owns the Hart & Sole store downtown. They carry the Smet clothing line.

the funny thing is, ed hardy IS von dutch.

don ed hardy is a famous tattoo artist. christian audigier uses his art for his clothing and also has his higher end Audigier line, which does everything else.

Christian Audigier was THE designer for Deisel and Von Dutch before doing what every other semi-successful designer does, and launched his own line.

edit: sorry, didnt see ~designer_rice~ post.

ed hardy + CA and i think even maybe affliction are supposedly banned from clubs such as plush.
i actually have a friend who was forced to flip his CA shirt inside out before goin into the club.. he got lucky cause he knew the bouncer beforehand.. if he didnt, they would just kick him out.

it's being banned cause it's "gang related clothing". i think this law actually passed too hahaha. blame the police.

because only idiotic drug dealers would spend over $150 on an ugly t-shirt and police chief chiu doesn't want any more drug related incidences tainting our squeaky clean image.

people with real class that spend good money on clothing don't buy t-shirts with tattoos on them.

This ban is a result of the Vancouver Police Gang Squad, the ban is not mandatory at clubs but the clubs just go along with it to avoid getting on the VPD shitlist. Clubs which are complying with the policy are almost the entire Granville strip and Plush (correct me if im wrong).

I can't believe that ban is in place!!!! One shouldn't discriminate a person based on what he/she wears. That's so ridiculous!!! Non-gangsters wear those t-shirts too! How about all the gangsters who carry man purses (especially those LV and Gucci) ones?

p.s. i think Affliction t-shirts are about $80?
