apparently there was a railway collision underneath where the old spaghetti factory was built, killed over 100 people. standing at the exact crash location you'd feel lightheaded. they asked a spirit to move something in a room to show their presence, and couple chairs were moved, they were freaked out on live radio.

"There have been sightings of an apparition of a decapitated Asian mine worker wandering the main street and carrying a lantern. There are two stories surrounding the fate of this man. One story tells of this mine worker being attacked and decapitated by thieves. Another story relates the incident as the mine worker carrying a lantern as he was walking along the railroad track late at night. He tripped and caught his leg in a rail, and ended up being decapitated by the next train that came through."

lol awesome

That friend and I spend 30-45 minutes talking to steve because he was so cool. We sent friends to talk to him and apperently Steve thought I was a gay emo kid and the girl I was with was a fat lesbian(neither are 100% true) however they took a camera and Steve didn't turn up in any of the pictures, and they took a lot of pictures of Steve.

100% true story ^^^

yo, i know steve! i always walk into that 7-11 after blazing and chat w/ that guy. interesting dude

I've known that for years....

There's suppose to be two ghosts there. One in the woman's washroom and another around the train inside the restaurant.

well i was driving by there along cambie, and in the farm fields, i swore i saw a white ghostly figure just standing there. i freaked out, left the area, and told my friend. he told me i probably saw a scarecrow...

i went back the next day, no scarecrow

There was a bad accident on Cambie and no 6 too.

My dads company is the 2 buildings away, and our workers always tell us stories of how they have people call their names, shadows in the cold storage, shadows in the office on weekends etc.
These workers that have seen/heard these things do not know each other, and have never worked together before...

i myself had a similar problem in one of our coolers...i closed the electric doors behind me after i went in and imagine an empty room size of a large surrey house with a huge masculine figure shadow in the distance.....

Second story

This is at RMC, there is a barrack block where no one is allowed to sleep on one of the floors because of a haunting that has been going on there for quite some time. Anyways, this one time one of the soldiers decided that the whole haunting thing was BS and that he would rack up in that floor. All seemed to be well for a couple of days but then he started to act weirdly or unusual to how he normally behaves. No one took too much notice of it because sometimes people are just weird or stressed. From there things got gradually worse. The guy was a good soldier, he had no medical conditions or anything physically or mentally wrong. One morning, he just never showed up to work and then someone people got worried and tried to get in contact with him. They called him and no one answered, they went to his room and no one was there, everything seemed untouched. He was then reported as AWOL and the base went on search for him. Reviewing the security tape, they found that he had sleep walked into the lake and drawned himself. This is again a guy who had no medical conditions or prior history of sleep walking. He just sleep walked right into the lake. No hesitation and went under and never went back up.

I have a couple more class is ending soon so I'll save it for later..

eh when I read this i just automatically thought of Joe Grozelle or w.e his name was

Only weird things I can really think of are like. When i wake up in the middle of the night with my whole body paralyzed, and I feel like I'm getting crushed from all around. I try to scream but nothing comes out, until my body just stops and i fall asleep. The scariest part was that the next morning my dad
tells me that he heard me rustling around at like 2 in the morning, goes into my room to check up on me but instead sees me not moving BUT my eyes are wide open and then I started shuddering. :( I asked him why he didn't wake me up and it turns out I've done this several times before.....

So in my uncle's townhouse, no one wants to go near my grandmother's room. It's been 9 years since she passed away yet every time I go in the room I feel like I can't breathe, and that someone is in there with me. I remember my little cousin told me that whenever he goes near that part of the house he'd start to feel a cold breeze brush by him and then he feels like someone or something wrapping around him or he'll see someone in my grandmother's old rocking chair :( and he doesn't even know that's our grandmother's room, since he was born after she died.

*whoops edited** lol i meant shudder like you're cold not shaking whoops

Sleep paralysis seems to fit the first part... Eyes wide open and shaking.. not so much.. Could be an epileptic episode....

I quite often have this thing happen where im sleeping and than it will feel like im awake but than i try and move, yell, etc.. and nothing will work its scary as hell i hate it when it happens than all the sudden ill just wake up.

and now for the real ghost story in my old house i used to live in my great grandfather built it and passed away in it. now one night i was sleeping and I awoke to my dog growling and barking soo i look into the hallway outside my door and i hear a really loud boom and scratch sooo i was like wtf than i saw this chest that we had slide across the floor i absolutely freaked out and ran downstairs to the basement and pounded on my parents door and woke them up. now this chest could not move on its own and no one else was in the house the chest was very heavy as well well thats my ghost story for everyone.

Harvey Specter 10-15-2008 11:26 PM

I posted this last year in another ghost story thread....

What about the house on the corner of Cambie and 33rd? I don't know if the story about this house is urban myth but I heard that the guy who built the house had a heart attack and died inside the house before it was sold. Since then weird stuff has happened to people who have lived in the house including an incident were a family that had just moved in had went out for the night and when they came home later that night all the furniture was moved out and sitting on the lawn. Like I said I don't know if this true, it could be a urban myth.

Edit:

**I don't know if this story is true or not and it’s long so don’t bitch lol**

I was told one story about Graves Dick(?) in North Vancouver from a friend. A friend of mine went out to this particular grave during Halloween a few years back. Supposedly the grave is haunted and when people go up they see weird stuff like fast flashing lights and hear noises and some claim that you get cursed with bad luck. So one of my friends with his buddies had a pretty scary incident a few years back. Him and buddies had pulled up to the grave and had just parked the car. Before they could get out of the car they started seeing fast flashing lights going around the car for a few seconds and then heard a loud bang on top of the roof of the car. Of course they're pissing their pants so my friend tries to start the car get leave as fast as they can but the car doesn't start. He keeps trying and all of a sudden they see a white haze in front of the car. According to them it looked like an old guy wearing a top hat and a suit. They just sat there frozen looking at this haze or whatever you want to call it. A few seconds the haze was gone and the car started.

Of course the first reaction is to get the hell out as fast as you can so that’s exactly what my friend did. He manages to pull the car a few blocks down to see if the roof was damaged and to calm everyone down. My friend jumped out first cause he was the driver and it was his car and he was worried about his roof. The whole time they thought it might have been some kids or neo-nazis (supposedly neo-nazis hang out at the grave, lol) so my friend with his mini flashlight starts to examine his roof. His heart literally dropped when he saw what looked like red paint. He didn't want to touch it and it was way too dark to see anything so he got in the car with his buddies and drove to a gas station. He got out and he couldn’t believe what he saw, it was a weird ancient looking symbol with the word 'die' in the middle in what looked like animal blood (blood was dark). You can imagine how freaked out my friend and his buddies were but they still thought it was some kids pulling a prank but they still couldn’t explain the other weird stuff that happen. A few days later my friend started telling his buddies about what happened. One of his coworkers told him that something similar happened to his friend and his friend had some really bad things happen to him in the weeks after he visited the grave. Lucky for my friend nothing bad happened but one of the guys in the car did get into an accident 2 weeks later and my friend still thinks it was because of the visit to the grave. He still can't explain the damage to the roof because the next morning he woke up the roof had no damage and it was almost like it never happened.

I’ve heard of this grave but I have no idea where it is in North Van. Someone told me you can see it from Stanley Park when you look towards North Van. Has anyone heard of this grave and similar story? Someone also told me neo-nazis hang out at the grave which I think is bullshit. Again I don’t know if this story is true, my friend claims he was sober and he knows what he saw but who knows.

Its called Dicks Grave. Its right by Cap College. Basically you take the exit off 2nd Narrows to Cap College and then you just drive up the hill. There is a road that leads to the old grave yard. His grave has I believe the big Tomb Stone on the left. On Halloween the cops now block it off with a patrol car.

hotjoint 10-16-2008 09:02 AM

Not a ghost story but reading up on some of these posts, I've been in similar situations while I was sleeping. A few times my gf would tell me that in the middle of the night I would open my eyes and stare at her without saying a word for a few minutes then go back to sleep. I don't ever recall any of these times. I asked her why she didnt say anything to me when I was looking at her and she said that she did the first few times and I didn't respond so she's been freaked out ever since.
