anyone clarify 2pt turn for me? I already know the 3pt turn but i can't seem to come up with the concept of a 2pt turn..

lilaznviper 07-04-2008 10:46 AM

there is a 2pt turn?!?!?!

eddoe 07-04-2008 06:36 PM

You only need to know the 3pt turn for the Class 5. You did the 2pt turn for the Class 7, it basically backing into an ally way and making a left.

lilaznviper 07-04-2008 10:02 PM

ahha i never did that on my class 7

HonestTea 07-05-2008 08:26 AM

^ Same..hahaha only did the 3pt turn..

lilaznviper 07-05-2008 01:08 PM

didnt even do 3pt on class 7
my class 7 was so easy... the examiner didnt even give a shit about me... hes always telling me to go faster hahah

Look out for school zones and KEEP 30.
30 in construction zones. If you see guys in safety vests, slow down to about 45. If they're working or have signs posted, go 30.

I was just wondering if you're on the school zone and there isn't a sign saying 30... would it help to stay at 30?

FI-Z33 01-25-2011 10:24 PM

^yup..and if the examiner asks, then explain the reason why you're going 30 (: better be safe than sorry!

gars 01-25-2011 10:25 PM

You'd rather be going too slowly than too fast. BUT - you can still fail if you do it too many times.

shenmecar 01-25-2011 11:02 PM

I think all school zones will have a 30 sign.....

AccordCouped 01-25-2011 11:14 PM

whats the speed limit for residential? is it 40?

Qmx323 01-25-2011 11:16 PM

i stayed at 35 in residential areas

shenmecar 01-25-2011 11:17 PM

technically, its still 50 in residential streets. But you wouldn't want to go that fast with an examiner.

Sensations 01-25-2011 11:28 PM

Oleophobic 01-26-2011 05:55 AM

Wrong, there is a school zone that stays at normal speed limit if you take your test at point grey. Forgot which street.

I think most school zone has a 30 for school days 8 to 5 restriction?

Qmx323 01-26-2011 09:26 AM

most of them yes

but if its on a major road it won't be limited to 30 but it technically still is a school zone

kinda like how in richmond Blundell elementary is right on Blundell road and there is a school zone sign but no limit of 30km/h sign

Dragon-88 01-26-2011 11:05 AM

Lots of schools dont have 30K zones on the busy streets.. I drive by 2 of them everyday..

TheNewGirl 01-26-2011 11:11 AM

Has anyone done their Class 5 out of the new center in Port Coquitlam?

Dragon-88 01-26-2011 02:19 PM

Whats your concern?? Class 5 they usually just test to make sure you are a competent driver.. As long as you can prove you can drive on our roads comfortably while following the rules you will pass..

Not really racist! 01-26-2011 03:33 PM

isn't it 40 when you're on a road without yellow lines?

at least thats what i was taught

drunkrussian 01-26-2011 03:35 PM

it's just like the N one, except you're not a n00b anymore and can actually drive. So as long as you drive on a regular-ish basis, just don't overthink it and you'll pass and find it super easy.

No. If it's a school on a major street it just tells you to proceed with caution and to not pass. I slowed down to 30 during my test and my eaminer told me to speed up before i lose points.
