Harrison or Whistler, same diff for us lol

They are both around the same level I believe, and I'm not sure just by having me and 2 other paddler from Magnum is gonna help that much. We only had 1 practice together and it felt awkward for me in terms paddling dynamics. I would have liked to paddle for the Beat, but they are overloaded.

RAYClovis 09-04-2009 01:16 AM

Sigh, all the talk of races is making me green with envy. :( I hate my injuries. I hate how fragile I am.

TracerFX 09-04-2009 01:39 AM

I dont think you are fragile, u just over trained lol

Oh, u got me wrong, there's no Magnum on the Beat boat, Just on How Wet. (Besides, Magnum race each other all the time on OC6 on sun, 3-4 boat heats :haha:)

definitely no NFW haha, they barely shout and grunt to begin with.

Reduce it. Less frequency, more intense.
Over training is akin to sharpening a sharp blade to the point that it turns dull.

RacePace 09-04-2009 02:12 PM

I need to paddle out there on an OC1 and watch sometime

And that is exactly why you need to do NFW lol, even if you're the only one on the boat doing it

RAYClovis 09-04-2009 04:00 PM

Though, you're sticking with RGL United next year right? If they're still twice a week next week, then you have less worries about overtraining. It's four dragonboat practices a week when it starts to show. (I was fine for most of the season until some months after Magnum switch over to 3x DB a week instead of OC6 Sundays)

Not just watch, race us hahaha! We're usually there after 12:30 sometimes in the creek, or sometimes beyond burrard bridge.

Nah, I do the NFW on land, on water its Terry's job lol

Andrew seems to kayak even more than I OC, he was out there again today. Looking pretty good in that thing

Sugi is doing that because he doesnt want to kayak in the winter (flip), so more oc1 after oct for him lol

RacePace 09-14-2009 02:05 PM

Damn, you Magnum guys get to race at the very latest possible time on Sat

TracerFX 09-14-2009 11:36 PM

Sleeping in time! :haha:

One of the perks of being Magnum...you can see what it's all abt next year lol

RAYClovis 09-14-2009 11:52 PM

Christ, Tony, sleep already. D:

Also, I don't really expect to pull off an easy win in this one. It feels like everytime we manage to step it up, the field gets tougher. D: Especially with FCRCC going to races they usually don't. Kelowna probably won't see even half a boat's worth of FCRCC paddlers, but the existing teams still can pose a challenge. The defending champion will be interesting to race.

Oh dear, are we raiding the FCRCC forum now?

RacePace 09-16-2009 01:07 PM

might as well, noone really reads it I think

TracerFX 09-17-2009 10:14 AM

hahaha, hopefully when i do +1, they dont go 'wtf is that?'.

the forum is kinda dead i think. I got one reply to a question and its was like 'why dont you contact the exec?' and i'm thinking to myself, isnt this forum a way to reach to them (without having to email directly). the funny thing is the guy who responded to me is the Commodore of FCRCC :haha::haha:

I don't think there will be SPECIFIC SPECIFIC details on Men's team or whatnot. It's more of a FCRCC the club's budget meeting and whatnot. Though, why don't you give Kamini a ring? I'm sure she won't mind you asking directly.

It's be nice to have at least 1 working OC2 though..besides, I personally would like them to buy more C-lions..

I might attend the AGM if:
1) I still remember abt it come Oct.
2) Dont have anything better to do

I would be interested to see how its like for one time only probably lol
I highly doubt there will be info abt the men's team as well.

My eyes just scanned that and I'm thought wedding ring :haha:

sho_bc 09-18-2009 03:12 AM

If you're not interested specifically in the politics of the club, the AGM is quite boring....

I think the C-lions are great, but I'd like to see a different boat actually, something that doesn't have a straight iako so I don't hit the front one accidently
