Trainwreck 7.5/10

I thought it was a decent movie but dragged a little bit the last 30 minutes. I watched it with my wife and overall we enjoyed it.

Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation 8/10.

Good story. Great action scenes. Tom Cruise can sure drive a stunt car.

Trainwreck - 8.5/10

I was LOLing a lot though some jokes fell flat. Some of the material is a repeat of her standup, still very enjoyable. Glad to see movies that push the envelope a bit on what women in media should be.

Being Canadian - 7/10

Created by Robert Cohen, a comedy writer that has worked on numerous shows that you're all probably familiar with. It's basically a trip across Canada in an attempt to find out what it means to be Canadian. It's amusing and well done, and has plenty of famous (and not so famous) people being interviewed.

I say it's well worth the time to watch.

Mission Impossible 7/10. 6/10 after penalties

Good old goofy action fun, enjoyed it quite a bit.

-0.5 for excruciating Microsoft and BMW placement. It wasn't enjoyment crushing like the placements in Jurassic World, but it was bad enough. Another 0.5 deducted for pointlessly inserting a horrible chinese actress into a scene for no good reason. She even got a title screen and top credit billing

(just in case I have to point it out, I'm being facetious about the value of all these points, just saying the stuff that annoyed me... it's a 7/10 movie still IMO)

Movie was okay, but doesn't live up to Ghost Protocol.

??? was this not in the North American version? I don't remember any Asian actress in the film

The Gift 6/10 it passed the time, the actors were good.

I might be generous with the rating, but I guess after the praise I heard for it I was expecting more, so I compensated my disappointment with another notch on the rating there are 2 scenes that drew loud scares and even a shriek, from the crowd, I don't know why, but it'll make for a good movie to bring your girlfriend I guess, with the lack of horror films available atm

She was the one doing the lie detector test. Surprised you didn't notice; the camera panned on her like she was in a shampoo commercial.

Fantastic 4 - 6.5/10

It was an okay movie, definitely not as bad as the reviews and critics have been saying. It's an origin movie so it should be expected to have a slower pace to it as they introduce all the characters. Don't avoid it because of the critics.

Straight Outta Compton
8/10
Watched this on Wednesday night.
It's your usual storyline of how a group comes together to form a "band". However, this was interesting b/c of who the group was and what they went through. They pushed the boundaries of censorship. Their music brought back some memories.

The Man from U.N.C.L.E. 8/10

thought it was great! the theatre was less than half full though, which is sad, because imo this deserves to make a great deal more than it's projected to

Guy Ritchie never disappoints, and Cavill was surprisingly good, I didn't think the film would do well with Cav in place of Tom Cruise but after seeing the movie I'm actually having a hard time seeing anyone else in the role!

I was disappointed with Hugh Grants role, not his performance, which was excellent, it was due to how small his part in the film actually was!

Hope there will be a sequel but I doubt it will get one with how the weekend is going
