That's a pretty good one.

My girlfriend was managing the Bell store which is just a couple units over, and she was saying the Taco Del Mar was really nice, even going to the neighbouring stores to hand out large burrito samples.

Guess you never read any of the articles. It was the Taco Del Mar that was the explosion source, but it did just as much or more damage to the Starbucks next door.

But what i find funny is that the blast only went one direction... as in it went toward starbucks. Because the Loonie store on the other side was untouched (relatively)

From the looks of it, since the Taco Del Mar and Starbucks was part of the same building, maybe it was a pretty weak wall between them... but on the other hand, the Loonie store is a separate building, and looks like it's cement or brick and would have withstood the blast a lot better...

yeah, I didn't read any Canadian newspaper or online news. I
read about it in a Hong Kong MTR newspaper (weird, right?
vancouver news in HK newspaper), it only says a starbuck got
blown up, taco del mar was never mentioned in the article.
Nearby stores got damaged, that's all I know.

What i heard from my friend that work at taco del mar that this was planned because taco del mar wasnt making any money only 300-500 a day... and if anything happened to the store the insurance company will cover 1million dollar of it. If it wasnt planned why wouldnt they relocate somewhere else instead they will reopen in 2-3 months. Which makes them have 1 million to spend to repair the store and probably keeep the rest from the insurance company they got back. The owner recently bought the new 07 M3 Coupe

it was perfectly planned and starbucks coffee took the spotliight for the blow up instead of taco del mar where the explosion actually came from

How about earlier in the thread where I posted the News1130 article?

Fak, how thick can ya be?

Just so you're up to speed, since RS seems to be some people's only source of current events:

Police have suspect in Broadway arson
Thursday, February 14 - 01:45:00 PM Lyle Fisher

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - Vancouver police say they've identified a suspect in yesterday's arson explosion that destroyed at least five West Broadway businesses. Police say the man is in hospital, but has not yet been arrested or charged and they are not revealing his connection to the business where the arson originated--Taco Del Mar.

VPD Detective Rodger Shepard says the man suffered burns to 40% of his body, and he fled the scene in a taxi. "There were a number of cabs that were used to make a 'getaway'. Those cabs have been impounded and processed by our identification section, and also the digital cameras that were mounted in in the cabs were also used to help with our investigation."

Police are still trying to determine a motive for the arson. Police won't say what kind of accelerant was used. The explosion damaged several other buildings nearby and showered the street with debris, but no one else was hurt.

Dude... you're reading THIS THREAD. You're posting in THIS THREAD. The article was posted in THIS THREAD, long before you posted your n00bish idiocy.

If THIS THREAD was the ONLY thing you EVER read on RS, you should STILL have been up to speed by the time you opened your yap.

Try to keep up, mmmkay?

Did anyone see the article in The Province yesterday? They disclosed just about every information about the witness of the bombing except his last name. Things as specific as the name of the building he lives in, what floor, and the cross-street of the building.

Effin retarded.

It's all boarded up though as expected.
