^^^Yeah, but they'll be stuck with the 4.02 modem firmware, and only the elite-team's special anySIM 1.2 can unlock that.
I wonder if I should do that...hahah I can at least upgrade the modem firmware if not the full phone's firmware...hahah

actually i upgraded to 1.1.2.. then i was stuck w/ the new firmware but then w/ more tinkering i got it back to original 1.0.2 w/ its firmware =) and then back to 1.1.1 100% working..
i think i spent more time tinkerin w/ iphone than actually using it as a phone..

Btw, for those who bought the aftermarket headphone attachment for the iPhone, what are you reviews? How long is the cord? It controls playback as well or only talk options? Does it work like the original set?

hey kardboard ~ can you ssh into ur iphone and send me the summerboard app? for some reason it's not showing up in the installer  i just went from 1.0.2 to 1.1.1 to 1.1.2 to 1.0.2 with 1.1.2bb to 1.0.2bb to 1.1.1 -_- so many freaking up and down lol

ok i have a huge problem..someone was messing around with my phone and went to that ultc or whatever thing and unload-w my springboard so now my phone doesn't work..well technically it turns on but i can't do anything and when i plug it into the computer it recognizes it..ANYONE KNOW WHAT I CAN DO TO FIX IT?
BTW resetting the phone DOES NOT HELP..it just stays at blank screen with apple icon like when u start up the phone

The one that looks like a little devil with a hammer? If you do go into it and the "com.apple.CommCenter.plist" one should be in red. Click it and click "load -w", and confirm it. Or you have Mobile Terminal? You can go into it and manually enable CommCenter by typing:
launchctl load -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist
If not you can restore to 1.0.2 (not 1.1.1 or 1.1.2!). First download the 1.0.2 restore file: http://appldnld.apple.com.edgesuite....8_Restore.ipsw
then go into iTunes, go to the iPhone section, holding the Shift button (I'm assuming you're on a PC, hold the Alt key if you're on a Mac), and click the Restore button. That's fine. It's supposed to give you an error. You've restored to 1.0.2, and all you need is to kick it out of restore mode....really easy on the Mac but I'm not sure how it's done on a PC....-_- Quote: Originally posted by invader

so guys im thinking of getting a ipod touch or a iphone, is it worth it just to get the iphone?
the only thing im thinking of is how the battery life might die quicker since ur using it for a phone/mp3 player
but reading from the reviews and stuff the battery life is preety good.
so is the iphone worth it? seems like theres alot of trouble to unlock and to do a bunch of other things to it

i am not even going to mess with this thing anymore..i got it to restore with 1.1.1 and i'm gonna pay some dude to fix it all for me. i don't wanna mess it up even more to the point where nobody can even fix it for me
there goes another 30 bucks!!
